Republican Byron Donalds holds a 7-percentage-point advantage over Democrat David Jolly in the Florida governor’s race, according to a new NBC South Florida/Telemundo Station Group poll, while Republican Sen. Ashley Moody is up by 10 points in her matchup against Democratic challenger Angie Nixon.
Donalds, a congressman from the southwest corner of the state, is at 48% in the poll, compared with Jolly’s 41%, in a race in which Donalds has had a commanding financial advantage. (That advantage is just inside the poll’s margin of error, but Donalds has the edge in most of the range of possibilities.)
Moody is at 50% in the Senate race, compared with 40% for Nixon, a Democratic Socialists of America-aligned candidate who got into the general election after a surprise primary victory over Democrat Alexander Vindman in August.

I’m shocked. How did they let this result get out ?
A couple of things working the favor of Republicans in Florida.
Republicans have a significant advantage in Voter Registration, the number of Republicans far exceed Democrats in the State.
There is a major property tax Amendment on the ballot that will dramatically lower property taxes if it passes, the attention this amendment is getting will bring out voters which favors Republicans.
The Democrats are running a certified lunatic for the US Senate, she is a member the Democratic Socialists.
Why is the best the RPOF can do as Governor pick an ex-NYC Democrat Party retread, the second Black candidate Florida has had to vote for over the past several years? The first one was a real criminal, the second one’s a piker with a narcotics rap that was expunged. This has the odor of White female primary voters all over it. The same ones who voted for Obama. Just fascinated with the idea of a Black dude running White things. It just gets them hot. What’s next? Luigi Mangione for Insurance Commissioner?
Saw the Iowa senate debate. That Ashley Hinson babe is a hottie! The other guy could only regurgitate how people are hurting, Trump’s billionaire friends were being taken care of first and gas prices are up. She kept up with him and slapped him around with his shortcomings.
The format was ok. 3 reporters sitting around the table with them in a discussion atmosphere but neither of the candidates faced each other. They sat side by side.
Byron Donald is the Republican nominee for governor because Donald Trump endorsed him, same as he did 8 years ago for a Congressman from North Florida named Ron DeSantis
Because this fact alone is stopping voters from pulling the lever in other states?
This election is going to come down to "Anybody But Trump," again. I think the TDS is starting to wane a bit, and reality is biting a lot of normal Americans in the ass enough that they'll go out to elect the "saner" individual.
If the Republicans maintain control, they need to get their asses in gear, because I feel the fatigue among the electorate, esp. the youth, and 2028 may not be in our favor if they squander another 2 years.
News says Gas prices are high so voters will switch back to the green new deal and vote for the party at war with fossil fuels. Sure Jan.
Just this past Tuesday, a “YouGov” poll said it was Moody 49 - Nixon 44, and Donalds 47, Jolly 45.
Apparently, the races were a lot closer two days ago. Donalds and Jolly were practically tied!
Ronald Reagan was a democrat retread as well.
