US sends third aircraft carrier to Middle East amid stalemate in Iran war
The Guardian ^ | Thu 1 Oct 2026

The US military is dispatching a third aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East, as President Donald Trump warned new strikes against Iran could be on the horizon.

The deployment, which includes a specialist amphibious attack group, underscores the rapidly evolving dynamic of Trump’s war against Iran as midterm elections in the US loom large.

Trump has threatened that a post-midterm election escalation remains a viable option – despite his initial promises that the war would last a matter of weeks.

The group of ships now en route to the Middle East together carry more than 7,000 sailors and 2,000 Marines. It includes the USS Theodore Roosevelt carrier strike group and the USS Makin Island amphibious readiness group, with its two amphibious landing ships.

It could mean that three carriers are in the region as early as the end of October, according to a US official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military operations.

Given the personnel already in place in the Middle East, the move would bring the US naval presence to an unusually high number of more than 20,000 sailors and Marines as well as hundreds of aircraft. The Navy previously had three carrier strike groups in the Middle East in April for the first time since 2003.

The carriers USS George HW Bush and the USS George Washington are in the region now, along with the USS Boxer amphibious readiness group.

The prime goal of the Guardian and all associated hankie holding marshmallow media is to make sure that a successful military action against terrorists (the media’s BFF) is prevented. We’ve got the Muzzie turds on their Obamaholes and all was have to do is wait it out.

“...despite his initial promises that the war would last a matter of weeks.

And they were. First this is not a war. The president cannot declare war. Secondly, if other problems not established in the original push appear, they are treated as they become an issue. If they weren’t congress could have forced him to remove the military from the region afer 60 days. The gulf, additional attacks on neighboring countries, the attempted killing of US citizens, the discovering of more enriching sites...these are a few of the things that have required some action to prevent. And we are still working on the straits and the supplying of arms and support to their terorist groups they protect and assist. This applies to countries like:

Lebanon: Iran backs Hezbollah, its most heavily armed and funded partner, providing extensive financial backing, advanced rockets, and military training.

Gaza / Palestinian Territories: Iran supplies financial aid, weapons, and manufacturing technology to Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).

Yemen: Iran provides military intelligence, drones, and ballistic missile components to the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah).

Iraq: Iran arms and trains various Shiite militia groups, including Kata’ib Hezbollah, Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, and Harakat al-Nujaba, which have targeted coalition and regional infrastructure.

Syria: Iran coordinates and supplies regional militias and provides extensive backing to the [Assad regime] to maintain its strategic land bridge to Lebanon.

There’s a lot on his plate. And the previous administration just made it worse.

It’s The Guardian. Once reliably but reasonably left. Now just radical and retarded left. And they are a bunch of complainers and crybabies. Ever read one of their stories? At the bottom of every page they bitch and moan about the ‘news oligopoly’ and beg for you to buy a subscription. Before the recent edits to their little bitchfest their pitch named Musk and Murdoch personally as the problem with the news. Musk doesn’t even own any news outlets. So weird. Tough to make a buck in their racket especially when there is so much competition for the leftist dollar.

That fathead Jelly Roll did the same thing to himself. I know it’s way off topic but what was that guy thinking? The last thing the entertainment business needs is another loudmouth leftist. He added zero value to the cause. I guess he thought he would ingratiate himself but leftist celebrities are a dime a dozen and he is only useful to the left because he self-terminated his perception. Didn’t convert a single person and didn’t add anything of substance. Just like The Guardian.

Trump keeps stalling. I want to know why he does not finish the job. Arm the opposition and leave. Come back to bomb the bad guys to help the opposition from time to time.

I don't know where you've been, but Trump has crowned a terrorist to run Syria now. It's time to wakeup from fantasy land before you get yourself hurt.

It’s not a war in the Constitutional sense but it is definitely a war. And you named it all very well. Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen every single one of these connects to Tehran.

Israel did what it thought it had to do. I concede the scale of destruction in Gaza is heartbreaking but the Palestinians/Hamas did this to themselves, with our money, EU money, Qatari money and Iranian training and decades of Israeli neglect as the occupying and controlling authority. Everyone let it get to the point that Hamas believed they could escalate from daily rocket fire to full scale murderous horde. Israel had to do a 180 from the total failure that was Oslo. The EU is still glued to that silliness but Trump saw it as generational opportunity. Just clean that whole place out already. Get it over with. Most of the rest of the world has moved on or at least come to terms with the fact that they could still hate without having to fight... except Iran and its proxies, which wanted nuclear bombs. Imagine, people with an ideology that encourages them to strap explosives to their bodies and go on buses and into nightclubs with nuclear weapons. It’s insane.

Used to be the left was against nuclear proliferation. Now, well, I guess the whole oppressed/oppressor narrative supersedes the viability of the entire planet resting in the hands of a 7th century sectarian cult. Though hard to be honest and say Iran was the oppressed. They are practically Aryan. That regime are the oppressor.

At the current rate of Muzziedom taking over London it won’t be long before these 3rd world’ers take over the Guardian anyway.
