Recent historic election victories appear to be putting wind in the sails of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which continues to widen its lead over the establishment and expand its support base.
After two major first-place finishes this month in the local elections in Saxony-Anhalt and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the anti-mass migration AfD has seen its lead over the supposedly centre-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) of Chancellor Friedrich Merz grow to its largest in history.
According to the first national survey after Sunday’s elections, the AfD has seen its support rise to 29.5 per cent, a record high recorded by the Insa polling firm.
This also means that the nationalist-sovereigntist party now holds a record lead of ten points over the combined forces of the CDU/CSU alliance, which held steady since last week at 19.5 per cent, Die Welt reported.
Perhaps even more significantly, the party seems to be widening its reach. While recent election wins were significant accomplishments for the upstart party, both elections took place in states that were previously part of Soviet-controlled East Germany, which, after decades of brutal socialist rule, tend to be far more hostile to left-wing ideologies and have therefore provided a natural base for the AfD.
Yet, as disdain for the establishment parties’ musical-chair governments grows, more people seem willing to turn to a political alternative.
According to a survey by the local Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger newspaper, for the first time in its history, the AfD overtook the CDU in North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous and economically powerful state in West Germany.
The Forsa poll put the populist party at 24 per cent, compared to the CDU, which has fallen by eight points since the last election to just 22 per cent.

I’m in two minda about this. Int be one hand they oppose islamizacji but on the other hand they want to take back the lands Germany lost at the treaty of Versailles
AfD would be slightly left of center. Hardly ‘far right exttemists’ as they are being called. Just because of the immigration stance. Who did ‘naught see’ this coming?
I don’t really care. None of my business. Let them negotiate. At least they are prioritizing national sovereignty and cultural heritage. They once were a high trust civil society. Deporting the muslim barbarians is vital to national survival. They will never assimilate. They are only there to destroy.
How are they doing in Bavaria?

Hopefully American voters are watching how the Germans in Germany are moving to protect themselves and their country from foreign immigrants whose objective is take over their country and enslave the German people. Illegal immigrants here, supported by the Democrat Party, have precisely the SAME objective. The only way to stop the spread of Sharia law to your State is to crush the Democrat Party in every election.

Thousands of young Germans were protesting this week over the German governments plan for military conscription.
I guess the days of “Schnapps ist schnapps und krieg ist krieg’’(’’Schnapps is schnapps and war is war’’) are over.

What faction of the German gov. is proposing conscription? It’s been my observation over the years these conscription calls are political manipulation

Great news. AFD is 100 percent against Germany’s war against Russia. They want to halt all $$$ aid, weapons, equipment and support.
They even advocate reinstating commerce so their energy bills go down and can reopen all the German factories that have closed due to Russian sanctions.

The celebration of the AfD is very premature. They have, for the first time, given a serious invitation to Germans to vote to reverse migration policy ... and, in every contest and poll so far, Germans have said “no thanks, status quo is fine by us.” The only difference is that the minority has someone futilely to represent them, as opposed to no one to represent them at all.
