White House Border Czar Tom Homan says there is no plan to send ICE agents sweeping through polling places in November. States including Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, and Oregon are preparing anyway, coordinating with local authorities and attorneys general in case federal immigration officers appear near voting sites.

The preparations come as President Donald Trump has argued that greater federal involvement is needed to protect election integrity, including addressing what he has described as a high potential for fraud.
Trump has made election security a focus ahead of the midterms, including efforts involving mail voting, voter rolls and citizenship verification. The administration has said those measures are intended to prevent unlawful voting and protect election integrity.
The rhetoric around the issue has quickly risen. Homan called the polling-place scenario a fear tactic. Democratic officials and voting-rights groups say their concern is different: even targeted federal enforcement near a polling place could intimidate eligible voters, including naturalized citizens or people in mixed-status families.
The law supplies some important boundaries. Noncitizens generally may not vote in federal elections under 18 U.S.C. § 611. Another federal law, 18 U.S.C. § 592, restricts federal officials from bringing "troops or armed men" to places where elections are being held. The Justice Department's election-crimes manual also says federal investigators can't simply be sent into the area surrounding an open polling place.
So there are two legitimate questions here. One concerns eligibility: who may legally vote? For federal elections, the law limits voting to citizens, subject to narrow statutory exceptions.
The other concerns federal power around polling sites, where existing law puts unusual restrictions on armed federal personnel.

Whoever is spreading the rumor of ICE monitoring polling places may be ensuring illegal voting doesn’t take place because of the fear that’s being spread.

Purely a rhetorical question. There are few places anymore where people line up to vote. Elections are already fixed with ‘mail in’ ballots.
Illegals/dems just produce or mail in thousands of ballots in each precinct. Supported by Federal judges all the way up to SCOTUS.
Democrats count the ballots. In Colorado where it’s 100% mail-in, return envelopes may indicate which party you vote for. Guess where the Republican ones go.

You are automatically registered to vote if you get a driver’s license. You cannot drop more than ten ballots at a time.
If you are a foreign college student with a school I.D. from any country, you can vote. If you are incarcerated, under various circumstances, you may vote.

US Citizens wanting a driver’s license here must present a birth certificate, not a certificate of birth. Apparently two different things. An original Social Security card doesn’t count. Military ID is not recognized.

Interesting that a state would allow a minor to vote in an election at 15 when they are not lawfully held responsible for any contracts they sign until age 18. Greed can do a lot with an machiavellian. Seems to evaporate their IQ.

What the...??? There are NO VOTING Sites in Oregon. It is all Mail in....now maybe other Fed agents will go to the Collection Sites to confiscate questionable bags of ballots???
We need to limit the ability of Democrats to buy votes by placing middle-class tax caps in the federal constitution.

RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY TAX AMENDMENT
Levies on any residential property of less than 2799 square feet of finished living space shall be no higher than the 2019 dollar amounts for the property, or for a newer or since resold property no higher than what it would have been levied at for 2019 if it lacked owner specific tax breaks, increased by 3% per calendar year since 2019 and by any percentage increase to its finished living space.
FEDERAL PERSONAL INCOME TAX AMENDMENT
Federal taxation on personal income shall be progressively capped as follows:
below 20% of the median federal full-time civilian employee compensation amount, 10%,
below 50% of the median federal full-time civilian employee compensation amount, 22%,
below the median federal full-time civilian employee compensation amount, 30%,
below the average federal full-time civilian employee compensation of the 100,000 largest recipients, 35%,
below the average federal full-time civilian employee compensation of the 10,000 largest recipients, 40%.

[Note 2: These are very close to the combined (1040 + employee FICA & Medicare) personal income tax rates now levied.]

Fighting in Congress to send middle-class income and property taxation cap constitutional amendments to the states would make Congress turn deep red come 2027.
These amendments would serve to reunite the United States.
The emphasis will shift back to making systems work with the generally limited funds available. If more funds are absolutely needed at a given time, government salaries can be cut. That won’t be for long.

The DNC corrupts all US elections by mailin ballots. In CaCaLand most polling places have been closed for years. Everyone with a mailing address is mailed a ballot, sometimes multiple. I’ve gotten more than one even tho I’ve lived at the same address for 40 years.
So, the hoorah about polling places and ICE visits is totally from the commie trash pulling a hat trick: “Ooh, ooh, look over there, your vote is being taken...” Meanwhile, your vote was corrupted years ago.
Nonethless, the lazy arsed conservatives need to fill out the ballot and mail it in. Drown the arseholes in their own paper.
