Tenant complaints have surged 25% this year compared to last year in New York City, .. socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s twisted war to squeeze landlords — and seize private property — is escalating.

The city put us in a situation where they’re just slowly beating us to death and blaming us,” said Lincoln Eccles, who owns a 15-unit building in Crown Heights. “The apparatus of the government is geared to squeeze us.”

After watching more than a few Sovereign Citizen traffic stops AND SovCit court hearings, one can see the methodology for remaining in a rental while paying no rent.
After enough months without receiving the rent, the landlord starts the eviction process. When it becomes serious, all of a sudden there is “black mold” “falling tiles” “no heat” etc. In some States, these “issues” put the eviction process on hold until fixed. The most ridiculous was a husband, wife, and three small children. They refused to leave a duplex that, according to the parents, was TOXIC for THEIR own children. The Judge was just shaking his head.

This endgame scheme is defined and obvious: Via city machinations, coerce housing property owners to sell cheaply to either city or to a 3rd party friend-of-the-city.
A reputable law firm should document the skullduggery and sue, all the way to the Supreme Court.

When I was 18, I got to work for famous photographer at the Dem National Convention in Chicago. All kinds of powerful people were there,. Daley was by far the most powerful. I’ve met a lot of powerful people, including Charles Kettering who was running General Motors.
Daley was by far the most powerful, actually had a light around him you could see before you saw him. My dad had some dealings with him, had same impression.
