Canada’s state broadcaster announced Friday that journalists will no longer be required to attribute the term “terrorism” when describing the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

“After reviewing our current language guidance, we have decided to adjust it to clarify that direct attribution is not required for describing the historic events of 9/11 as terrorism,” said Basem Boshra, CBC’s senior director of journalistic standards and public trust...

I surely do miss those days though, Family Radio, HCJB, Radio Nederland’s “Happy Station” on Sundays, Radio Kuwait, the female announcer on Radio Cairo at 9pm and then to South America in spanish. Mail Bag programs, Radio Peking.

These days there are multiple Chinese Radio stations on multiple bads broadcasting 24/7 in multiple languages to all regions of the world.

Diversity is pandered to in Canada. Lots of actual Chinese immigrants along with Muslim ones. Big Chinese influence since the 1960s. Wonder if there is still a sector of American draft dodgers who moved there or if they crawled back in after the coast was clear.

American SF author Spider Robinson moved to Canada during Vietnam and then years later had a column published the week before 9/11 saying people are morons who think Muslims are planning to attack within the US. Ridiculed conservatives who imagined it could be coming soon.
