SAN DIEGO (KUSI/FOX 5) — Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have been on a major arrest offensive in San Diego and Imperial Counties.
In July, DHS arrested 1,964 immigrants in our southernmost counties, posting their highest arrest rates so far; that’s according to the Data Deportation Project from UCLA and Cal Berkeley.
“Even in Trump’s first administration, we did not see numbers like that,” said Morgan Principi, an Immigration Attorney.
Principi says ICE is operating in a far more aggressive posture.
“Typically, these individuals are able to legally work here, and in order to have a valid work authorization status and that status might be that you have a case pending,” said Principi.
But status or not, ICE officers are moving quickly. The Trump administration has reported they’ve arrested roughly 50,000 immigrants nationally in July alone.
The Department of Homeland Security released this statement: “This is promises made and promises kept in action. At the direction of President Trump and Secretary Mullin, ICE is working around the clock every day to arrest and deport the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens from American communities. The results speak for themselves.”

That’s 1,964 fewer democrat voters.
Fifty thousand a month is great but doesn’t get close to a million a year. Still, maybe it encourages the others to take the deal and self-deport.
Even if they haven’t voted yet, you know democrats want a future amnesty so they can vote in the future.
Have the Flock cameras been deployed?
When election day has passed Trump should federalize all the local and state law enforcement. Given their druthers they’ll agree.
Good..DEPORT THEM ALL
1,964? A mere drop in the bucket of the 20 million or so that the Biden regime infiltrated into the Republic!! Only 19+ million or so to go now.
ICE is not close to the point where we are impacting the criminal aliens economically.
poor immigrants..
No exceptions whatsoever.
Ok. So they leave voluntarily and get in line to come back-the good law abiding ones. They have no idea when they’ll be allowed to return and resume their ‘normal’ lives. Is staying in their shit hole countries of origin an option for them? If they accepted no government assistance I’d let them return pronto. We really could use them. Chances are those people are few.
Which is why I dont believe for a second that Talarico will win Texas..Texas is a red state, they dont want open borders, so they are going to vote for a guy who wants all illegals welcome in Texas, and people there are gonna go for that no way!
It warms, ah say, it warms the cockles of mah heart... Foghorn Leghorn.
Those illegals did the crime. Now they do the time. That's how it works!
And those that hire them.
I agree. I think the law abiding immigrants are already in the pipeline and those close to applying should be given the opportunity to pony up or face deportation.
Well..........if there are ballots for these people, don't be surprised if they continue to "vote" in primaries and general elections.
It's Kalifornia, Jake
A good start, but not nearly enough.
DEPORT, DEPORT, AND DEPORT SOME MORE.
