A federal judge on Friday declined to block President Donald Trump's revised birthright citizenship order after the Supreme Court struck down his first plan.
Trump originally directed federal agencies to interpret the 14th Amendment as not granting citizenship to the children of illegal aliens, but the Supreme Court shut down that order, prompting him to issue a revised directive.
U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman previously issued a stay on Trump's first order, but did not do so against the revised version, Reuters reported.
The Biden-appointed judge was nonetheless skeptical of the order's constitutionality.
Trump signed the revised order earlier this month, aiming to expand the list of children who would not be eligible for birthright citizenship.

I have lost count of how many hack Judges have issued nation wide rulings since the SC said they could not. What’s frustrating is Trump does not ignore them. Instead, he goes back to SC for relief…repeat.
He has to give the “system” a chance, at least, to work as intended, and the way the legislation is enacted and the rest of it.
They are looking for any excuse to get rid of him. Ignoring the courts gives them a ready made excuse.
I would argue that once he has his SC decision he is set he has the cover to tell these hacks they have lost and ignore them. Instead he goes back to the SC again and again.
He might have cover, but he doesn’t really have Congress.
