Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” former Vice President Mike Pence said “the last thing we need right now, as our economy is getting back on its feet, is a trade war with Canada.”
Host Dana Bash said, “I want to ask you about something a little closer to home in the U.S., and that is the renewed trade war between Canada and the U.S., going dollar for dollar on 50% tariffs. Trade talks collapsed on Friday night. The Canadian prime minister blamed unfair last minute demands by the U.S., saying the administration asked too much and offered too little, and that Canada is effectively at war with the U.S. on trade. Does that help Americans right now?”
Pence said, “Look, we hear about the issue of affordability right now and as you know I’ve taken a firm position since Liberation Day tariffs, that fortunately the Supreme Court turned over, that American businesses and American consumers pay American tariffs. And I think the last thing we need right now, as our economy is getting back on its feet, is a trade war with Canada.”
He added, “My hope is, for the sake of American families and for the sake of the American economy, is that what we’re looking at here is negotiation and not confrontation in a trade war.”

pence, true to his truth, rears his mug that nobody misses, on cnn.
Pence…. A man who doesn’t realize his time has come …. If he ever had one …. And gone.
Long long gone….
Pence is the last thing the US economy needs.
Somehow Pence still thinks anyone cares what he says about anything.
PM Carney is connected to the Chinese Communist Party . China floods Canada with their cheap crap and then Carney sends it to the US
3/4s of Canadian exports come here so I think we’re on the winning side of the equation. For the last 50 years or more Canada has enjoyed trade surpluses with us. Trump wanted them to open their markets more and they decided to go elbows up stupid instead.
The only one benefiting from status quo in Canada would be PRC by means of product dumping, especially steel.
The primary beneficiary of the Pence-led plandemic response, and of his failure to do his duty on J6, was PRC, as they nearly implemented chinese-style social credit eternal monitoring society on us through Brandon in addition to hyperinflation, food culling, resource restrictions, and insane mandates.
Shut up, Pence!
Pence and Bash: two low-wattage mediocrities with over-inflated opinions of themselves.
How about self sufficiency? With no trade.
They need us more than we need them. Lets see who really feels the pain.
“Pence: ‘Last Thing’ Our Economy Needs Is a Trade War with Canada”
Pence sure has a lot to say (bad) about Trump since no longer working for Trump. It will be interesting to see if Rubio ends up being the same.
Canada is the 21st Century version of China. It is now a resource colony plundered by other nations.
Is it a war if there is no contest?
“They need us more than we need them. Lets see who really feels the pain.”

How does an entirely unnecessary trade war with our formerly close neighbor make America “better” at anything?
Most of the Canadian population lives near the USA border. Bunch of leeches, depending on stuff from the USA. Might as well make them the 51st state.
Just a couple headlines from the Conservativetreehouse:
Former Canadian Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland Says Canada Must Focus on Psychological Operations Against Americans Now
Council on Foreign Relations President Says Trump Gave Mark Carney an Ultimatum, USA or China? Carney Chose China
Canada had 300% tariff on USA dairy products.
Don’t go away mad Canada/Pence, just go away.
Pence would have been a fantastic Loyalist during the American Revolution and after the Battle of Yorktown, he’ll flee to London, lol.
