The Metropolitan Police's investigation into Lord Peter Mandelson is reportedly on the brink of collapse after US authorities ignored requests for information.
The former US Ambassador faces charges of misconduct in public office over allegations he passed confidential information to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein during the 2008 financial crisis.
But in order for Scotland Yard to properly investigate, detectives believe they need access to the unredacted Epstein files.
The US Department of Justice (DoJ) and FBI have so far ignored the Met's request for the documents, "The Daily Telegraph" reported...

Isn't that what Gilda Radner was saying 50 years ago or so?
I have to wonder why they even bothered to open an ‘investigation’ into Lord Peter Mandelson. It was never going anywhere and they can now even claim the USA is the reason for dropping it.
Would be almost humorous if it involved some trivial matter.
Mandelson is suspected of providing economic intelligence to Epstein.
But a French diplomat named Fabrice Aidan who worked at the UN sent confidential UN Security Council docs to Epstein.
That’s in the DOJ Epstein Files.
UN is enemy of Israel so the notion of Jeffrey Epstein Israeli spy is in that probe which French authorities are continuing.
Its clear to me that Epstein hated President Trump and that it was during Trumps presidency that he was locked up. We need more information on this timeline behind the scenes.
It’s also clear Epstein was a complete fabrication, a construct by intelligence agencies and Mossad (and that vile brute Ehud Barak) for obtaining control and information gathering on influential people around the world.
Pervert pedo vaccine peddler ‘Dr’ Bill Gates fell happily into the honeytrap. He would be off frolicking even now today on Epstein Island if he could. An autistic level of shamelessness. Look back at exactly WHO Epstein chose NOT to weave into his web and that will show the true protected allegiances. There are no pictures of Epstein and Obama or even Biden, not even that buffoon Hunter. Anyone doubt he would’ve arrived and never had a reason to leave.
Its only because President Trump had set off their rat trap and then soon after saw who and what Epstein was, throwing him out the door. This doesn’t matter, they will use this connection to the hilt. This was the reason it was gathered. Even if all they had was shared photos at a dinner party and nothing more.
There is a lot we don’t know and the Rothchild angle outside of Lex Wexner bankrolling him which then provides some very interesting possibilities of the end goals.
The manner of Epstein’s ‘death’ should raise all kinds of red flags about any so called ‘truth’ surrounding what really took place.
