Putin Expects Ukraine to Break This Winter, First Deputy Head of Presidential Office Kyslytsya Says

Russian President Vladimir Putin believes Ukraine may not endure the upcoming winter, and is therefore unlikely to return to the negotiating table before at least mid-March, according to the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Serhii Kyslytsya.

Kyslytsya made the remarks in an interview with Ukrinform on Thursday, Aug. 20, telling the news outlet that Moscow currently lacks motivation to enter negotiations and could see winter as an opportunity to weaken Ukrainian society.

His comments came as Ukraine increasingly continues preparations across all sectors, particularly its air defenses, critical energy and water infrastructure, as well as residents for the upcoming winter.

When every Ukrainian male is dead, Davos and Brussels will repopulate with Pakistanis, Indians, and Africans

Well done Ukraine nationalists!

You surrender, not everyone is into rolling over and accepting being conquered.

They have a choice.

Become a vassal state.

Under the EU.

Or Russia.

Ukraine has made it thru 4 winters already in this war, and hasn’t broken yet.

Why would anyone think it will be different this winter?

Someone needs to tell Pootin about Einstein’s “definition of insanity”.

(More bluster from the failing Pootin crew)

If I were in Ukraine I would be preparing for a tough winter.

In April 1945 before the fall of Berlin, Kathe Kollwitz watched a mailman go around delivering mail to the basements where apartment dwellers now lived after the buildings above were bombed. She wrote something like, "I would never have believed how much ordinary people can endure."

Putin's terror attacks may make life miserable but have very limited military effect. As long as Europe keeps funding and arming Ukraine, Putin is screwed. The Ukrainians may have even blown up the railway from NK with a bomb on a munitions train. Putin is hoping that NK aid plus political changes in Europe, facilitated by escalating hybrid attacks, will lead to Ukraine's defeat. The hybrid attacks (missiles and drones in Poland and Romania, the drone at the airport in Germany, and suspicious explosions elsewhere) seem to be only angering the Europeans.

The EU would not use force against Ukraine. Big difference.

not everyone is into rolling over and accepting being conquered.

Too late. They were conquered by Brussels and neo-marxist globalists in 2014.

Soon they will cease to exist.

There must be some way to resolve this conflict. Isn’t there some way they both can lose?

America doesn’t support Ukraine hoping that the Russia and the North Koreans will take them over.

Nonetheless my recommendation would be that the civilians prepare for a tough winter.

The general talk, or claims, is that Russia has been stockpiling missiles and drones while North Korea is sending in Missile units, and Ukraine says their defenses against those type of attacks are not as strong as they need to be.

To me that is a warning to the civilians to use this summer to prepare for the worst in the winter.

For one thing, that is just common sense 101 when war can reach you, I’m an American and I’m good for 18 months of total loss of food and electricity.
