A new threat emerges as Palisades Fire [CA] victims rebuild

Residents in the fire-ravaged Pacific Palisades are taking security into their own hands to protect their properties as they rebuild, blocking streets with barricades and hiring private security.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, eight burglaries were recorded in the area in June alone. The thefts amounted to thousands of dollars in stolen tools and equipment taken from storage containers.

โ€œThis is the people and the neighbors coming together to solve the problem,โ€ Palisades resident Morgan Goldberg said in a video posted to Instagram after thieves targeted several properties under construction.

Like many residents who lost everything in the Palisades Fire, Goldberg is trying to rebuild, but she says the process has been hampered by crime.

In addition to hiring private security, which can be costly on top of the already high price of rebuilding, one neighbor created an AI-powered app that synchronizes surveillance cameras and alerts residents to activity in the area.

Still, residents say they want more police patrols, especially at night.

This is your government on Drugs. Their malevolence and ineptitude cost you everything you had. And they are unable or unwilling to stop looters even while they try to rebuild.

At least they are being permitted to rebuild.

In Los Angeles they are not being permitted to rebuild.

The corruption in California is reaching Soviet levels.

That corruption is being mirrored in Hawaii. These suspicious fires in Democrat controlled states in areas of prime real estate need investigation before Trump leaves office.

I believe that there are political office holders that are deserving of lengthy prison terms.

If CHOP and BLM No Go Zones were places cops and citizens could not freely enter at one time, and the media and government just let that slide, then why not protect ourselves from the out of control mobs on the left?

I prefer never confronting an enemy face to face with responsibility for actions under our worthless legal system. Behind the scenes is better.

Gee, City burns down thousands of homes by at best negligence, make rebuilding very slow and difficult. Now the City is not even offering basic services such as police protection. Yet, YET the citizens vote for the Mayor who caused all this? I think we found the definition of insanity.

Bass is too busy handing out crack pipes and meth to homeless layabouts. And begging for campaign donations that the taxpayers match 6:1.

“residents say they want more police patrols”

Sorry, your Mayor defunded the police and replaced them with community monitors / sensitivity consultants. Mayor Pratt would have provided lots of police.

President Trump should order the California National Guard to protect the Palisades, and dare Bass and Newsom to object.

No, I was thinking of water pipes.

Still, it takes a lot of Romex to get even $20 of scrap value copper.

PRETTY SURE THIS IS STILL LA COUNTY-—WHICH MEANS LA COUNTY IS CONTROLLING THE SLOW PERMIT PROCESS. DO NOT THINK THIS IS VENTURA COUNTY.
