President Donald Trump will give an interview to his former attorney, Michael Cohen. Yeah, I couldn’t believe it either: the attorney who became a turncoat and slammed his former boss before Congress will do an interview with Trump. Details about the sit-down were leaked, and Cohen confirmed the interview when asked (via MS Now):
Michael Cohen's long and winding relationship with his former boss, President Trump, is poised to take another unexpected turn Thursday when the man he testified against in two separate trials calls into his radio show. https://t.co/whVqoMTnQq— CBS News (@CBSNews) August 19, 2026
I remember when some guy kept putting a turkey on Michael Cohens face during a live stream hahaha.

President Donald Trump is set to record an interview on Thursday with Michael Cohen, his former personal lawyer and fixer who later became a persistent public critic and the star witness in the hush money trial that led to Trump’s conviction on 34 felony counts.
The interview is scheduled to air later Thursday, according to a White House official granted anonymity to describe plans that have not been publicly announced.
After this story was published, Michael Cohen confirmed the interview and announced that it will air on a radio show he’s hosting on Thursday night, with additional excerpts on his Sunday WABC show, which is also released as a podcast.
The interview marks an extraordinary thaw in the relationship between the two men, whose rupture played out across court filings, congressional testimony and a tell-all book.
The New York Times reported that in the summer of 2025, the two men spoke at Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey — their first known contact in years — and that Cohen believed Trump might appear on his podcast.
Just baffling, but it could be an interesting interview.
Politico: Michael Cohen won’t say if he’ll use his Trump interview to seek a pardon
The president is expected to call into Cohen’s radio show Thursday in their first public conversation since a very public falling out.

I certainly couldn't do it.
IIRC they were going to fry his wife over some financial anomalies related to their taxi medallion enterprise.
Doubling down on terrible appointments.
He wasn’t appointed to anything except to serve as Trump’s personal attorney.
He’s transactional. He sees benefit in doing this, so he will. And let’s be clear, it’s *not* Machielvellian - the benefit doesn’t have to be to Trump directly. If he sees an overall benefit - good to go. The world *used* to work tbis way.
Ang *before* Trump ever ran for office.
That counts.
How to give a mal-actor a “pardon” without signing a pardon??
I’m going to invoke the ‘There but for the grace of God go I’
And it has burned him in the past. Trump has this blind love for the liberal, mainstream press that has continued to bite him and his administration in the ass over and over again. He lets some liberal reporter interview him or have access to his administration and they write a hit piece. Then he cries that he was backstabbed. He never learns. Let's see how this goes.
I would rather have the open transparency where he talks to nearly anyone with the occasional back-stab, than the traditional politician bubble-speak, especially on the Left where they only talk to people who agree with them.
This is one of the reasons I voted for Trump, particularly after watching his first term.
What Trump does should be the standard.
