One of New Yorks’ most notorious pimps was finally caged at the end of July, sentenced to 50 years on charges of human trafficking and ordering the murder of a rival.
The trial of Omari “Prince” Scott, 45, opened a window into the seedy world of the “Penn Track” in East New York, Brooklyn, where he ran multiple women.
Despite Scott’s conviction, sex workers tell The Post business around Pennsylvania Avenue — also known as “the Blade” — continues as brazenly as usual, with tens of women on the streets selling sex for as little as $85 a time and conditions worse than ever.

I did. I always read the article before commenting. In the case of this particular article, I recommend not reading it as the accompanying pictures can cause temporary blindness and bacterial infections.
Penn Track is located in a "Governed Vacuum". It's a stretch of East New York where NOBODY with power feels directly responsible. A political condition where a legitimate governing authority has been removed or is no longer able to function. This occurs when a government or central authority loses control and no one immediately steps in to replace it
Why? Minimal residential presence, low foot traffic, industrial zoning, and fragmented jurisdiction.
These factors lead to a place where nobody with power feels directly accountable.
When a location has no voters, no donors, no businesses complaining, no tourism impact — it becomes invisible. And invisible places become predator habitats.
We ALL know NYPD's mandate has shifted over the year's from "Enforcement" to "Outreach". This means pimps operate with near-zero fear of immediate consequences. Predators thrive when enforcement becomes symbolic.
So, you may ask, how can a civilizied society allow the greatest city in the United Staes allow this? The answer may surprise you:
Because civilization is not evenly distributed. NYC is not one city — it’s multiple cities stacked on top of each other, and the Penn Track exists in the layer nobody wants to look at.

Been there many times over my life (mostly not by choice) and never felt this way, far from it. NY should be avoided at all costs especially in the post Guiliani years.
I feel that any city over about 100k are just not worth the time. The ones over a million are the worse. Most have become corrupted by trying to attract anyone who wants to spend money to live there which in turn eventually turns the city blue and a trash can of multi-cultural crap. Seen it happening all over the country for the last 60+ years.
What are they gonna do when Mamdani makes the sex free?
