We see a lot of far-left influence on the young people of the United States.
So it's troubling to see Communism raise its head in any form, particularly in our own country, given our efforts to defeat and beat back Communism elsewhere, such as during the Korean War.
It's also ironic to see the young in South Korea standing up against Communism, perhaps because their country has personally experienced being attacked and has had Communism exerting its influence for years. The young came out to stand up against that on Saturday. Saturday was also Liberation Day, the day South Korea celebrates its freedom from Japanese colonial control.
There was a massive crowd of many thousands of conservative/right-wing, pro-America people rallying against the Communists, waving South Korean and American flags.
🚨On August 15, a massive nationwide anti-communist rally was held across South Korea, drawing hundreds of thousands of people, yet the South Korean media, already controlled by the Chinese Communist Party, did not report on it.
But the people of our free Republic of Korea will… pic.twitter.com/kRySrlTBtI— Koreans Stand With Israel 🇰🇷🇮🇱 (@KoreansWithIL) August 15, 2026

Polling shows 74 percent of men in their 20s and younger voted for a conservative candidate in the 2025 presidential election.
It probably sounds familiar, but some were speaking out against concerns that the progressives in their country have become too close to the Communists.
That's why they're also worried about a new announcement from progressive South Korean President Lee Jae Myung
Lee called on Saturday for talks with North Korea to formally end the war.
In a speech marking the anniversary of Korea's liberation from Japanese colonial rule, Lee said the two Koreas should hold a sit-down for coexistence.
He urged dialogue between North Korea and concerned parties to end the 1950-53 Korean War, which was stopped by a ceasefire, not a peace treaty, and said discussions could also explore effective measures to curb Pyongyang's nuclear capabilities.
Lee said Seoul would take preemptive and sustained steps to ease tensions and build layered safeguards to contain escalation.
So far, North Korea has not accepted the offer from Lee. Formally, they regard South Korea as an enemy state. It remains to be seen whether that will move the needle. There have been other efforts over the years, but they were not successful.
The conservatives are worried that a "peace" might be a fragile thing that could lead to American troops being pulled out, and the country then being more exposed to invasion/attack. Given their history, it's easy to see why that might concern them. So while they might like a deal that curbs the North's nuclear capabilities, they don't want anything that is going to put the country in danger.
But the young leftists here could take a lesson from the young conservatives in South Korea, who know what the real Communism is about.

That crazy family up there will never give up ownership ,LOL
One wonders what will happen to the Epoch Times.
The North Korean Army is picking up experience fighting a European Army in Europe, they could be more of a threat within a few years of replacing the ammunition and weapons that they are supplying Russia with currently.
Fresh ammo, artillery shells and missiles in the warehouses, new tactics and drone experience, current heavy war experience against a tough white Christian army, it can’t be helpful to the American and South Korean forces.
” a tough white Christian army”
You weird. What does “Christian” have to do with anything?
“The North Korean Army is picking up experience fighting a European Army in Europe”
Sucks, doesn’t it.
Strange that it bothers you, but they are fighting a white heavily Christian force that would be similar to fighting the heavily Christian, heavily white American forces, as atheist communists the North Korean forces must have some recognition of such major characteristics of their enemy and it probably figures into classes in basic training and such, something similar to American forces learning something about the culture of the enemies they face during training, the Japanese, the North Vietnamese and so on.
There have been several round of reproachment, peace talks, even joint production facilities.
All fizzled out quickly.
Basically, the North would not accept any peace, unless they would take over all peninsula.
Russia needed help and had to turn to its friends and allies, Red China is training some of the Russian fighting forces, of course the Iranian arms are probably ended, but the North Korean Army can still supply them with artillery, missiles, and combat troops,
The Kims are worshipped as gods in their prison state.
They have no interest in lesser positions.
And no interest in peace.
Without starvation, isolation and terror, they would not be gods.
Ah yes, but the vast majority of the forces they would be fighting are little slanty-eyed Asians, who will now have an advantage over the North Koreans because the Norks will be prepared to fight White Christians rather than Asian ROK's.
So the joke is on them!
Or maybe it's just on you.
Absolutely nothing of course. But he's got his hammer, so everything looks like a nail to him.
There’s something going on over there. Out of the blue Trump posted a picture of himself and Kim Jong un from their 2018 summit.
Still sucks, but there are (or at least were) options for not giving Russia’s allies state-of-the-art combat experience.
Militaries give classes to the troops of the cultures they are fighting and fighting in.
Some of us even get classes in the cultures of interrogators and how interrogations from different cultures will be conducted if captured.
You seem awfully hostile and came out swinging for no reason.
Plus, I might add an observation from a report on Japanese television network NHK which pointed out that baby Kim got his obsession with obtaining nukes from way back in the days of the Obama administration when he saw what the administration did to Libya's Qaddafi after he gave up his nukes. Then proceeded to brag about it.
Prior to that, while his father was still alive, he was chill and willing to concentrate on building badly needed civil engineering projects to develop the north.
LOL, no, they are invading a country that has been unable to defeat them, the victim nation is working fiercely at the only option open to them, fight the invaders, same with Trump in Iran, that Russian ally is getting to fight state of the art American forces, at least Trump has the option of quitting without losing the United States.
Nice to give combat experience to our enemies.
It is hard to stop Russia from invading its next door neighbors, so talk to Russia about them giving combat experience to themselves and their allies in their invasions.
