Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport said it is no longer considering adding foot-washing stations for Islamic travelers to its international terminal.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott threatened to pull funding from DFW Airport, citing "illegal religious discrimination" at government-owned facilities.
At least two ablution stations already exist on the post-security side of DFW’s international terminal. DALLAS - Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport says it will no longer consider adding more Islamic foot-washing stations after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott threatened to pull funding due to "illegal religious discrimination."
What we know
A DFW representative told Fox News Digital on Friday that airport officials had been reviewing the proposal for the new foot-washing stations, but they've since decided not to move forward.
"DFW was in the process of evaluating an internal proposal to add a set of ablution washing stations on the pre-security side of Terminal D, the international terminal. Like all proposed projects, the airport ultimately considers the operational benefits, customer service impacts, operational risks and costs before approving them.
While that evaluation was planned, the airport accelerated its review due to elevated public interest this week and has determined not to proceed with the project as it would not deliver the originally anticipated operational benefits."

DFW need only add Baptismal Fonts to make things fair.

Yes — DFW Airport (Dallas/Fort Worth International) has interfaith chapels in all five terminals, and they are explicitly intended for people of different faiths.
And yes, Muslims can pray there. The chapels have prayer rugs, and the Terminal D chapel has ablution (wudu) stations. DFW also holds Jumu’ah (Friday) prayer in the Terminal D chapel.
So it’s not really a separate mosque inside the airport. It’s an interfaith chapel/prayer space that accommodates Muslim prayer.
Foot washers for 5x daily heathen head banging sessions ... Yowzah!

…Islam ain’t no religion. It’s an ideology rooted in oppression and submission. The End
They want their presence know ,everywhere , like dictators and large pictures of themselves posted all over the place
In countries where water is in short supply how much water do they waste everyday washing their feet ?
As I understand it foot grooming is not the only area they attend to either....but decorum prohibits me from sharing more detail...I’ll just allow you to use your imagination....it shouldn’t take much.
For the best anyway, how many would have just treated ‘rm as urinals?....I know I would’ve.
what’s next? butt washing stations?
In countries where water is in short supply how much water do they waste everyday washing their feet ?
Too much! and since they wipe their butts with their fingers why dont they just pee on their feet to pray?
Dear Republicans,
Do not fall for the propaganda claiming there are no wudu stations already in Dallas or Houston airports.
That is simply untrue.
DFW Airport has had fully functional ablution (wudu) stations in its Terminal D interfaith chapel since 2019.
Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport has had its own ablution facility and connected prayer space since 2024.
What was stopped this week was a new proposal to add more stations inside public restrooms at DFW. The existing ones were already there and remain in place.
The record matters.
There are foot washing stations in OHare Detroit DFW Bush in Houston and Newark but they are near Chapels not public restrooms. The Chapels have become more mosque than ecumenical
Maybe this will.force changes.
So Muslims wash their feet but put socks and shoes back on.
DFW Airport mgrs must have been heavily bribed to initiate the foot washing nonsense for the muslims. Surprised Abbott had the cajones to stop it.
"Texas Governor Greg Abbott has intensified actions against Muslim organizations and practices, asserting they pose a 'threat to our freedom' and attempting to prevent the imposition of Sharia law in the state.
In November 2025, he unilaterally designated the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim Brotherhood as foreign terrorist organizations, a move CAIR condemns as "defamatory and lawless." This proclamation bans these groups from owning land in Texas and authorizes the state attorney general to sue to shut them down."
/so, just carry a bit of bacon. Drop it in, and walk off.
Just wondering, are there Christian or Jewish accommodation at airports. I’ve never seen any.
No new urinals? Come on gov. We need those for the beer rush.
