Dick Cheney’s heart problems were never a national secret.
I was Mr. Cheney’s cardiologist for 27 years, including his two terms as vice president. During his time in the White House, he needed stents, a defibrillator and medical treatment for an arrhythmia and a blood clot in his leg. After the defibrillator was implanted in his chest in 2001, he would frequently show visitors to his West Wing office a sample device provided to him by the manufacturer.

2. When do you speculate on the health of other people you have never evaluated or treated?
* **Father, Fred Trump Sr.** — born October 11, 1905; died June 25, 1999, at **93**. ([Los Angeles Times][1])
* **Mother, Mary Anne MacLeod Trump** — born May 10, 1912; died August 7, 2000, at **88**. ([Wikipedia][2])
Donald Trump was **52 when his father died** and **54 when his mother died**.
So both of his parents lived well into old age, particularly his father, who reached 93.

I’d love to read the article, however I decline to give the NYT my email.
If I had known this was NYT, I don’t even open. spit
Your Question #1. frames this post by the Doctor in the right way. He didn’t say ‘Peep!’ all those years Uncle Joe embarrassed and endangered America on the world stage, no thanks to Dr. Jill.
More than likely, Dr. Reiner is a well educated, impressively dressed and tailored
Concern Troll.
Not much more.
That and Cheney despised Trump. I can imagine his Doctor has the same attitude.
There are a lot of leftist nut job physicians.
All he’s doing is surmising based on what little he knows and stupidly so.
I would not want to be a patient of his IF he has any.
How much did he get paid?
I agree Trump is showing his age and could use to lose some weight. When he talks he’s very sharp and engaging.
But as for this article, Dick Cheney’s major health issues have nothing to do with Trump.
Ok Cheney showed off his defibrillator. Trump doesn’t have one.
Right - did he write an article about Joe Biden like this?
Meanwhile President Trump just gave a public speech where he was entirely vibrant and coherent discussing the historic drop in the crime rate.
Dick Cheney’s cardiologist was basically a triage medic. He had one case study to judge from. He’s like a VW bus mechanic commenting on a Cadillac.
Association fallacy.
Very common with ignorant liberals.
Armchair diagnosis, anyone can do that. Clinton started the trend of hiding health reports so start with him.
Give them a Free Republic email address.
Trump just shot 70 in his country club tournament to beat out much younger members. No man in bad health can break 90 much less shoot under par scare of 70 in a club tournament.
When I was member at Royal Oaks country club in Vancouver, WA, I got to observe majority of members on golf course. I can’t think of one who died suddenly of heart failure during active membership playing frequent golf. It was usually cancer when a member passed away. Cancer is not sudden death. Trump will finish his term. At age 80, he just made several long flights. Those long flights are very tiring.
Dr. Reiner, perhaps you should have taken notice of Lindsey Graham’s appearance instead of President Trump’s.
New York Times + Dick Cheney?
Enough said!
Being Dick Cheney’s cardiologist has no bearing at all on what he thinks he discerns by the way Trump looks.
For his age, Trump looks remarkably well and with his commments Reiner looks incredibly stupid.
See how easy that is?
These physicians somehow think they can assess people’s health and make diagnoses from a distance. They probably can’t even do that up close.
The guy is 80 years old and keeps a brutal schedule. He just shot a 70 at his course out west. Give me a break.
Show me an 80 year old man with absolutely no health problems and we’ll be talking about a super man.
