While many pro-lifers focus on preserving the Hyde Amendment to keep federal tax dollars from funding abortion, many Americans don’t realize that their state taxes are already funding it.
A new report from Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) highlighted that 21 states are funding abortion through Medicaid.
“Twenty-one states currently use their own funds to cover abortion services for Medicaid enrollees beyond the limits imposed by the federal Hyde Amendment, which bans federal funding of abortions in cases other than pregnancies that result from rape, incest, or are a life threat,” reports KFF.
Using state taxes to pay for abortions, this can include funding abortion at any and all stages of pregnancy, depending on state laws.

Anyone who thought “returning this to the states” was going to work was naive.
This is outrageous. Every taxpayer should be up in arms over this.
Roe should never have passed to begin with. This is where it all began. It became too easy to kill the unborn, now people don’t care. How do we undo what we have done? How do we make a heart that has turned to stone to beat again?
This is like every other issue in Congress... It’s by design so you can vote for “your” side. Nothing ever gets solved in Congress it gets pushed around, they look for folks on both sides who can be against or for a bill so it just gets by or shot down and then they say they tried. It’s all by design.
If Congress actually solved problems they wouldn’t be needed.
