Russia’s Supreme Court on Monday barred the liberal Yabloko party from contesting September’s parliamentary elections, sidelining the only officially registered party that opposes Moscow’s war in Ukraine. More than four years after Russia launched its full-scale war, the decision highlights the authorities’ intolerance of anti-war views and further narrows the already limited space for dissent in Russian politics. “Excluding Yabloko from the election means refusing dialogue with people who ask questions that are uncomfortable for the authorities,” Nikolai Rybakov, the party’s leader, said, vowing to appeal the decision.

Sorry it was NBC NEWS.. not the Telegraph I pointed to...
My mistake...
Democrats will do they same once they get power.
And THAT’S how ya do it. Exclude the commie vote. Things will move along smoothly.
(((PING!)))
To be added to the zeeper follies pinglist,
ping me bro... we need laughter!

The actual Communist Party of Russia is still in the election, and some of their sitting reps have denounced the war. They may make gains in the vote.
“And THAT’S how ya do it. Exclude the commie vote. Things will move along smoothly.”

Big Government boss Putin is apparently bringing in 50.000 Communist North Korean troops to fight against Conservative anti-communist UKRAINE...
So yes, Putin proves he is indeed a communist, but things aren’t going smoothly for him... Why ask for 50.000 Communist North Korean troops if everything is going well for the Kremlin?
Communist North Korean troops are fighting in the European invasion and Communist Red China is currently training Russian troops.
Funny, you had no problem when your little buddy did the same thing in Ukraine 4 years ago.
Yes Russia has their anti war people, just like lefty Tucker Carlson here in America. Even though I regret that Tucker Carlson opposes Americas war against The Islamic State of Iran, I don’t want to punish him and surpressing his right to vote. I think that even fanatical pacifists like Tucker Carlson must be all allowed to vote anyway. America represent freedom of thought. Banning the Republican Party or the Democrat party just to please BIG GOVERNMENT, would be a huge mistake.
In Russia, Big Government now forbids anything that doesn’t support BIG GOVERNMENT!
Thus, Russia has become like Communist North Korea. Sad.
Big Government enslaves the Russian people. It’s timer for them to save Russia and get rid of Neo Soviet system.
Long live the Russian people! Down with Big Government Kremlin !
Democracy in Russia has an abysmal track record. They seem content to be ruled by strongmen.
The Czar is the General Secretary is the President. The name changes, but the system is essentially the same.

Im not sure what you are talking about.
Ukraine has postponed their election according to the law which forbids organizing elections during wartimes and because Russia is illegally occupying 17% of Ukraine where people simply can’t vote for non-occupied Ukrainian elections... How could free-Ukraine organize free and fair elections in Russian occupied territory?? You tell me...
“Democrats will do they same once they get power.”
The EU is in the process of taking out Germany’s largest party and Germany isn’t even at war.
Yet more proof that Pootin’s Russia is an oppressive police-state hellhole
Criticize Pootin or the War, and you get thrown out the window
How France Chokes Opposition Parties
"These relentless legal attacks, however, are not a good sign for the health of French democracy. They highlight how difficult it is to run an opposition party amid financial hurdles that undermine France’s parliamentary democracy. President Emmanuel Macron dissolved the National Assembly, France’s lower chamber of parliament, in a surprise move in June last year. The decision came minutes after the results of the European elections in France, where the RN surged, fueled by anger at the European Union, low voter turnout, and the proportional representation voting mechanism used in these elections. The RN secured 30 seats, far ahead of the center-right presidential coalition and center-left opposition, each with 13. "
On March 18, 2022, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided to suspend, for the duration of martial law, the activities of certain political parties. Zelenskyy signed a decree the next day.
President Zelensky has invoked his emergency powers under martial law to nationalize television news and ban Ukraine’s main opposition party along with ten others to clampdown on internal divisions within the country.
Hopefully Marine Le Pen will restore sanity to fallen France

Written by someone sitting in an oppressive police state… the irony hellhole.
Oh the irony
Thanks for a good article.
However, that article clearly isn’t saying that the French Government has forbid entire parties to exist and compete in free elections. Right?
In Russia they prohibit parties to even participate in elections in case they are not pro Big Government Kremlin - that’s a huge difference!
Le Pen used EU funds to finance her own national party’s … EU tax payers money going to her party… Thus Italian, Swedish, Spanish… etc… citizens unwittingly helped financing her party. You and I can agree that what she did was wrong. And she was rightfully condemned by the justice system. Law and order. However, the French justice system was kind enough to let her be a candidate for upcoming elections anyway !!
I’m a supporter of the RN and was hoping for Bardella to take her place.
So you see France doesn’t ban parties. France is not Russia.
BIG difference.
