A Christian In-N-Out worker is suing the fast food giant claiming religious discrimination after she was allegedly forced to work Sundays.
Arianna Rodriguez, who was a cook at the location in Long Beach, California, for nearly five years claims she was wrongly terminated by a new manager.
According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Rodriguez had been on a schedule that allowed her to attend church on Sundays without any problems for years.

In-N-Out doesn't have a leg to stand on here. They are open 7 days a week. They could accommodate her by scheduling her for a non-Sunday day. That's the way the courts generally view these matters—an attempt has to be made for reasonable accommodation.

On the other hand, if she were a mudslum, then In-N-Out of course would have bent over backward.

They have Koran verses on their cups.

Reasonable should never mean others have to work when you don’t want to. Unless they make exceptions for other employees they have no obligation to do so for her. I say this as a Christian.
I don’t work t bars or abortion centers because I do not want to compromise my beliefs, I do work at a power plant and that means sometimes I have to work on Sundays.

Wow. That is stupefying. High probability that the unwillingness to accommodate Arianna Rodriguez's religious beliefs was based on mudslum haltered of Christians.

That is quite a stretch you are supposing. Schedule changes in the hospitatlity business is part of the scenery. Happens every day, all the time. Managers draw up schedules, and employees follow the schedules.

Sorry, I was being facetious. They actually have Bible verses on the cups and wrappers.

This was litigated and settled thirty years ago.

I partly agree with you ...
1) I have worked Sundays, because sometimes it's absolutely necessary and unavoidable.
2) "Absolutely necessary and unavoidable" does not apply to a fast-food joint.
I would support similar accommodations for Jewish employees who wish to not work on their Sabbath.
I would try to avoid hiring terrorists mohammedans ....

I think he issue in this case is the change - years of no issues, then a new manager, or policy, that changed her situation. Some people like to inflict pain on others. In this case, I would hope it inflicts pain on the restaurant itself.

There is. Work someplace that isn’t open on Sundays. She knew they were open 7 days a week.

I believe In-N-Out is not a woke organization.
