The accusation that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza is the gravest accusation that can be made against any nation – and also, as Howard Jacobson has pointed out, the most sadistic that can be made against Israel in particular, because it deliberately shifts the Jews from historical victims of genocide to being perpetrators.
That is why those who use it are either ignorant or malign – or, as in the case of Charlie Downes, campaign director and co-founder of far-Right party Restore Britain, both. Downes has a long history of using anti-semitic tropes (not least in his latest suggestion that “the Jews” have “bought” Nigel Farage). Very good point re TYT: Hypocrisy galore.
First of all, those claiming that Restore Britain is obsessing over Jews at the expense of Islam clearly didn't bother opening the actual Telegraph article to see the actual tweet quoted:
Not a single mention of Jews or Israel.
So why in the world does this headline make it seem as though Restore Britain has remarked about a "Gaza genocide", when the actual article contains nothing to support the headline in question? They don't even link to anything supporting their contention that “the Jews” have “bought” Nigel Farage (in fact, the one link included under Charles Downes' name is...not about Jews, but about Downes claiming that Britain's national identity depends on their Christian ancestry!). So where did they get it from?
The only recent tweet that could reasonably correspond to this is regarding foreign influence in general (which actual lists Qatar ahead of Israel!)...
...or, it could be about the fact that he simply responded to Nigel Farage's tweet about how he "can't be bought"...with a single picture of Farage speaking before the Reform Jewish Alliance, from back in bloody February:

Maybe, perhaps, his emphasis isn't on "da Jooz", but on foreign and non-British influences in general, especially given all the ink spilled about Islam, or about the antipathy against white British people:
