British Columbia Premier David Eby on Saturday declared a province-wide state of emergency after a wildfire displaced 20,000 residents of two communities near Okanagan Lake.
According to reports, over 100 wildfires are currently burning across the Canadian province, with nearly half of them out of control.
The fire near Okanagan Lake forced the evacuation of Summerland and Peachland residents, but more British Columbians are also under evacuation alert.
In a post on X, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stated, "Thousands of people in Summerland, B.C., are being evacuated as intense wildfires threaten their community."
"To the brave firefighters and first responders working tirelessly to keep people safe: thank you.
"The federal government stands ready to help and support the Government of British Columbia in these efforts. I’m keeping everyone forced from their homes in my thoughts...

Eby is letting his province burn.
It’s all about clearing the land of Canadians, so the land can be sold, likely to the Chinese.
Everything about removing people and giving the land to the natives is ultimately about giving the land to the Chinese.
The Chinese will make use of the natives. They’re running out of Uighers and Tibetans.
Eby should ask advice from Gavin Newsome. He’s an expert at mishandling wildfires.
There are some bad fires in Canada, parts of the Pacific Northwest, and in Spain and France. But Fox News this afternoon had someone on who said that world-wide this year has a lower-than-normal number of fires, one of the lowest in the last century.
AND there is still a Carbon cycle.....
