New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani holds up bananas
Communist New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani abruptly reversed his policy of requiring government ID to purchase food in his government-run supermarkets.
Even funnier is that, although we have it all on video, he’s now pretending that was never his policy. Remember, communists will tell any lie necessary to further the agenda. Communists have no ethics other than doing whatever is necessary to bring about the revolution.
So, Mamdani is perfectly comfortable lying, knowing he will have the help of corrupt, far-left media outlets like the Associated Press, who publish lying fact checks, like this one, that brazenly and happily lie on his behalf.
Here is what Jeanny Pak, the Interim President & CEO of NYC Economic Development Corporation, told the world during a Monday press conference with the Mayor standing a few feet away…
Yes, if you look at our RFP [Request for Proposals] for the operator, we are looking to make sure that we target New Yorkers, whether it be [through] a sort of a library card-esque [system], and also, we manage who’s buying and that it’s focused on everyday New Yorkers. So, we are mindful of that, and we’re going to make sure that we have all the things in place to ensure that that does not happen.
Here’s the video:

muslims still get 1 cart full of food a day though ,LOL
Mamdani and his communist brain trust had a good capitalist idea there. To keep out the shop lifters and the riff-raff. Now his commie grocery stores will have to raise prices to cover theft and more security guards.
But Mayor Clowndami had to cave due to widespread ridicule. Even Elon Musk weighed in on X.
Fitting for his People's Socialist Banana Republic of NY.
Canned hams for the invaders.
No Pork products , just watch ,LOL

Yes we have no bananas
Just stringing along until the next mayoral election.
I think the ID card is to prevent the exportation of discounted price groceries to New Jersy.
Even at the, the Black Black Market Grocery stands were already setting up the mechanisms to sell the discounted and shop lifted groceries from storefronts in New Jersey.
He won’t be able to close the prisons. Where would he put billionaires trying to steal the free food.
It will never work, because it can’t be made to work. Not without doing all those things they are not willing to do. It’s been tried. At the point of a gun. People starved by the millions, when they weren’t killed by the collectivist goons.
Have they even built these things yet?
Probably need a membership card. Just like welfare.
Likely true, since New York has put all the bananas in their STATE government.
Will the shoplifters be stopped, and if so, where will they be imprisoned?
I’m guessing the second store will never open. But the money will be already spent for all of them.
EC
So what's his new gimmick? A mark on the hand or the forehead?
Regards,
Who absorbs the 30% off ? The supplier or the taxpayer ? LOL
The intent is to have the supplier pass the losses onto other customers by increasing the prices in regular stores.
Wholesaler: "We're raising our prices to you on these items."
Retailer: "Why?"
Wholesaler: "To make up for our discounted prices at the Mandami Market."
Retailer: "If those are the prices, no thanks. We'll instead just stop carrying your items and order larger quantities from your competitors."
Also:
Storeowner: "Hey, let's buy up everything in sight here in the Mandami Market. It's 30% lower than our price. Since our markup is only 3%, we can make more buying from them instead of directly from the same wholesaler."
Wholesaler: "I can't figure out why our profitable sales to other stores has dropped off severely but our sales to the Mandami Market are through the roof. It's almost as if though our retailers are buying our stuff from there at a discount instead of from us."
