Attacks on white people are not included in the statistics

Locally here on the central California coast

A 73-year-old art gallery manager named Rachell Summers was killed in a random knife attack outside the Capitola Mall on July 20, 2026. The suspect, 19-year-old Tyler Leibelt of Santa Cruz, was arrested shortly after calling 911 to confess

A young black male brutally stabs a 73 year old white woman to death

It’s a “random attack”

Maybe the should focus on random attacks

I had not heard about that attack in Capitola. How awful. We spent many summer Saturdays and Sundays with our kids on the Capitola beach.

“Technically, the data ARE clear. ;-)”

“The data are clear” follows strict Latin rules where data is plural, while “the data is clear” treats data as a modern mass noun like information. Your choice depends entirely on your context and audience.

Which audience do you think we have here?

said Monica Madrid, a state policy advocate for the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights during a hearing in the state Capitol

said Assemblymember Corey Jackson, D-Perris, who serves as chair of the Select Committee on Racism, Hate, and Xenophobia,

said Jonathan Butler, first vice president for the NAACP’s California and Hawaii chapter.

You don't even need to see their quotes. Just look at where they work. What we have here is a group of people who don't want the government money gravy train to dry up. They make a living on hate crimes and so they need hate crimes just like a human needs oxygen and water to survive. If every hate crime in the world was stopped, they would climb the tallest mountain or delve into the deepest forest to find the last living racist and make him a celebrity to generate more funding.

So they are worried about the drop taking away their job and race card.

Syndrome meant in his words in the Incredibles that if superpowers belong to everyone, they lose their uniqueness and value. If everyone hates everyone else, then no one is guilty of a hate crime. Welcome to California.

There should be no such thing as a “Hate Crime”. Punish the act, not what it is claimed the perp was thinking at the time.

Hate Crime = Thought Police
