Illegal migrant who sprayed lighter fluid on burning cop car in wild anti-ICE riot learns fate

An illegal migrant who poured lighter fluid onto a burning California Highway Patrol vehicle and tossed an electric scooter at cops trapped beneath a freeway overpass in a chaotic anti-ICE Los Angeles riot is headed to federal prison.

Yachua Mauricio Flores, 23, was sentenced Monday to 37 months in federal prison and ordered to pay $253,415 in restitution for his role in a pro-illegal immigration riot that rocked downtown LA on June 8 of last year, prosecutors said.

Born in Mexico in 2003, Flores came to the US as a toddler and lived in Lincoln Heights. He has no previous criminal history.

But his dangerous acts merit serious consequences, LA’s top federal prosecutor said.

“Those who attack law enforcement will face the full force of justice,” said Bill Essayli, United States attorney for the Central District of California. “This defendant can now reflect on his actions from a federal prison cell.”

As a ringleader in the brutal assault that saw law enforcement officers fighting for their lives, Flores egged on a gang that attacked police from Main Street overpass of the 101 Freeway, according to prosecutors

He stood on the overpass and dumped lighter fluid from plastic bottle onto a burning CHP vehicle below in the large-scale assault on cops.

Moments later, dumped a second bottle on the fire and directed another man to do spray more of the accelerant at the burning cop car, prosecutors say.

The accelerant fanned the flames of a burning CHP car engulfed by fire, as besieged officers tried to survive the flying rocks, concrete, street signs, fireworks and burning debris thrown by rioters.

Flores also helped throw an electric scooter over the overpass railing toward officers and CHP vehicles,

Not sure if 37 months can be called “the full force of justice”.

This happened in LA - - land of liberal 'elites' and Hollywood freaks... in jail overnight would have been a surprise. Thirty seven months? From and LA judge in Commiefornia? Yep, that's “the full force of justice”.

Stupid shithead. Try that in Mexico. He would have been shot down in the street like a rabid dog. These punks abuse our system and think they can get away with it.

He will find out the hard way when the prison gangs get ahold of him.

Happy ending after he serves ever day of the sentence and then is deported.

Deport him anywhere. We have no obligation to deport a criminal to a country he claims to be from.

Do it by lottery on television. It can be like 'The Running Man'.

"Maybe he'll go to Ukraine. Maybe he'll go to Afghanistan, Iran, or Haiti. Place your online bets before we spin the wheel and find out."

Maybe not. There’s a federal prison in WV that when it opened the county became the fastest growing county in the state for that year.

The county also immediately had the highest percentage Hispanic population in the state. The same gangs outside were inside. Those that didn’t belong to a gang when they arrived formed their own.

When the inmates got rowdy, they were locked down and the entire prison staff including the maintenance guys made bologna sandwiches to feed them.

Whereas this violent felon gets 3 yrs fed prison for proven crimes , the J6 victims were illegitimately incarcerated for left/Dem political reasons..

Not sure if 37 months can be called “the full force of justice”.

US Attorney did his best in this case...There is no guarantee a federal jury from Los Angeles County would find this guy guilty of anything at a trial...A plea bargain is a good outcome...

He will serve at least 85% of his sentence...It is very unlikely that he will serve the entire prison sentence...
