CAIR, Islamic Society of Tulsa to announce lawsuit against BA over mosque rezoning

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) announced a press conference in Tulsa to announce the filing of a lawsuit against the City of Broken Arrow.

CAIR and IST said the lawsuit is in response to the City of Broken Arrow denying a rezoning request for a proposed mosque.

The press conference is set to be held on August 3 at 1 p.m. at the Islamic Society of Tulsa. The speakers will be representatives from IST and the CAIR Legal Defense Fund (CAIR LDF).

This lawsuit and press conference comes after CAIR supported the decision of the Department of Justice to open an investigation into Broken Arrow's zoning and land use protocol under the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Acts (RLUIPA).

Situation of a city council that behaves like a bunch of retired grammar school teachers that have rubber stamped every building project under the son and have stretched a city's infrastructure to the breaking point.

Some muslims want to build a mosque in a part of town that can't handle it. It's a flood zone and the streets are poor. Traffic would be a huge problem and the citizens of Broken Arrow rallied to force the council to deny the request.

Now, the muslims have big money from questionable sources to come where they aren't wanted.
