A new aircraft is coming in hot.
JetZero, the California-based aerospace company, is in the midst of ejecting Boeing from the game with its newest prototype — the Z4. The aircraft is a blended-wing-body, and it’s aimed at disrupting air travel.
The Z4 is set apart from the traditional tube-and-wing design most airliners have today. JetZero’s new model blends the wings and body into one surface. This creates an aerodynamic lift and could help conserve fuel.

Passengers will also see more legroom as the design calls for wider aisles, better seating layouts, and less stuffy boarding. The Wall Street Journal says the plane will have four aisles, instead of three, and can fly nearly 10,000 feet higher than other airliners. And no more fighting over storage; the plane is set to have its own overhead luggage compartment for each seat. Gone are the days of passengers bumping into your arm waiting for the toilet; the planes come with a dedicated waiting space.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHahahahahahahahahahahaha!
I think we all know what the airlines will do with all that "extra space" ...

The entire fuselage and wings are designed with Bernoulis Principles in mind. Why should lift only be a wings function?

And older planes used to have less rows and bigger seats, until they wanted more efficiency (more people traveling per plane).

"The aircraft is a blended-wing-body, and it’s aimed at
disrupting air travel."
Is this supposed to mean "air flow," or screwing with the airline business?

Good. Boeing needs a kick in the pants. Same with their rocket program.

I like it, personally.
There is also a military and tanker and cargo version of the plane.
The engine placement strikes me as concealing the IR signal from the ground. That’s important for military craft.
While not exactly stealthy, it also looks like it would have a reduced radar signature for such a beast. Also important.

Probably also give a lower stall speed, so you could use shorter runways.

+2 points for the awesome cultural reference.
