The level of idiocy required for Germany to have released Abdel Ballout, the 21-year-old man who drove a van through the immense crowds of parade-goers at the Berlin Pride parade, killing one elderly lady and injuring 29 others, is astonishing.
Ballout also rampaged through the crowd, brandishing a machete and striking several people. There were 2,200 police patrolling the venue, and it will be fascinating to hear how they all managed to ignore Ballout, even allowing him to escape.
The terrorist was shot and killed 24 hours later.
“How did he even get into the Tiergarten?” one attendee was quoted as asking. “There were anti-car and anti-truck barriers everywhere.”
The simple answer, according to Matt Taibbi, is that the police almost escorted him to the killing zone.
"In sum, a Berlin-born man of Lebanese descent left Germany last year to join the ISIS militia, failed to reach Mauritania, failed to reach Syria, got arrested and sentenced in his family’s home country of Lebanon for 'incitement to religious and sectarian conflict,' then successfully returned to Germany to be arrested again," Taibbi writes.
"He was convicted for planning a serious act of terrorist violence, but released despite a Prosecutor’s request for a 'longer, non-probationary sentence for the juvenile' — the 21-year-old juvenile — and put into 'deradicalization counseling,' which was about to report him for being 'inscrutable,' evasive, and a threat," Taibbi continued.

I t is a matter of debate whether many of these leftists have ever felt sorrow for the fate of these millions - unless the loss was within their won families.
What nobody could answer me, however, is what the victims of the Holocaust had to do with the invaders of today. Yes, they are all human, but what else?

In mainland Europe, there were indeed many non-Germans involved in the Shoah. Some were informers, some were even members of the SS (cf. the discussion about Ukrainian SS men), while others resisted actively.
The vast majority of people, however, was clueless or had no clear comprehension of what was going on. Others were too afraid to ask questions, while again others simply tried to carry on with their lives as best as they could.
Rumors of the mass murders were dismissed by many, as many believed that they were spread by the British, in a repetition of the British atrocity propaganda which had helped the Entente cause so much in the First World War.
Even in World War Two Allied propaganda didn’t mention the genocide of the Jews very much. Antisemitism was generally so strong, even on the Allied side, that some of their governments were afraid that their Gentile population would begin to sympathize with the Nazis (!)
Of course, after 1945, everybody who had ever sympathized with the Nazis tried to wash their hands off it. German or not German…
Just look at France, where the fact that there had been collaboration on a large scale took a long time to be officially acknowledged. Same in many other countries.

However, to accuse Americans, who indeed were not involved in the genocide, of Nazism, is simply dumb.
But it should be pointed out that leftists use the slur „Nazi“ just as six year olds use the therm „poo poo head“ for everyone who disagrees with them.

Since Sunday...I’ve blogged/essayed about 4 updates over the guy...not much to add. I do find it odd...you go to any public event (Wiesbaden, Bremen, Koln), and they have control in/out of the area....so I’m not buying the ease of access story much.
The more interesting aspect at this point...how the LGBTQ folks focus on him being a right-wing instrument...not a nutcase. Interior Minister made a comment yesterday...way too many mentally disturbed ‘guests’ of Germany...how it’s hurting the country.
Also, the Interior Minister admitted...more or less...four-hundred characters like him....under some watch, and considerer ‘dangerous’.
Two state elections coming up (Berlin-City, and Saxony-Anhalt). Both seem to get a AfD boost (I’d say 4-to-5 points up). Presently, AfD leads in Berlin-City with 19-percent...Saxony-Anhalt near 41-percent...so a 4-point boost matters. I’m not saying them winning changes much. Threat still will remain.
