Iran summoned a Ukrainian diplomat in Tehran on Sunday to protest an attack on an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea, as the war in the Middle East threatened to overlap with the Ukraine conflict.
Iran said the attack left one sailor dead and injured several others. The country’s foreign ministry complained to Ukraine’s chargé d’affaires in Tehran early on Sunday and “conveyed Iran’s strong protest over the ‘hostile and criminal act.’” Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency reported.
In a post on X highlighting Ukraine’s attacks on distant Russian targets, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday that his country’s forces “also achieved very strong results with long‑range strikes in the Caspian Sea – including vessels used in military cargo shipments involving Iran, as well as a warship.”
Russia has long used Iranian-designed Shahed drones in its war on Ukraine, a weapon that analysts sometimes refer to as “the poor man’s cruise missile.”
But the latest attacks by Ukraine, combined with Saudi military strikes on Iran-backed Houthi targets in Yemen following the rebel group’s attacks on Red Sea shipping in recent days, represent a widening of the Middle East conflict.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said he had spoken with his Russian counterpart and the European Union about a response in a post to X.
“In calls with EU High Rep Kallas and FM Lavrov, made clear that what the freeloader in Kyiv did CANNOT GO UNANSWERED,” Araghchi said.
Air defenses in Saudi Arabia reportedly intercepted two ballistic missiles from Yemen on Saturday.
The fighting in the Red Sea and Caspian Sea took place during a pause in U.S. strikes on Iran after 13 straight nights of attacks.

Looks like one of Trump’s tweets.
Its all one war. The missiles coming out of Iran come from Russia through the Caspian sea. Sometimes they are Chinese missiles and sometimes they are Russian missiles. But the Iran war and the Ukraine war are the same war. In fact October 7th was the same war.
Be funny if Iran starts attacking the Neocon Regime in Ukraine.
Maybe the Shiites in Iran will get their Armageddon after all. The whole world on fire.
There is a reason that China publicly admitted that they are helping Iran via intel. And Zelensky says he has proof that Russia is also.
I was hard on Lindsey Graham but when I see that the leader of Syria is helping round up the terrorists I’m wondering if I judged things wrongly. Maybe I’ve judged the Ukrainian situation wrongly too. I don’t know. I’m all mixed up by the things happening.

If, and I grant you it’s an if, the Saudis pull their heads out of their asses, they can smother Iran with tens of millions of Ukie design drones, most likely built in South Korea* and piloted by some of Saudis’ 23 million gamers. Low Patriot missile inventories become kinda moot when anything that appears in the entrance of an Iranian tunnel gets popped in 5 minutes.
*Philippine production, Argentina, etc., also look promising.
As a gratuity for the designs and operational advice, the Saudis can have an extra 5 million drones a year run off for the Ukies.

Trump is speaking to the Iranians in their language and tone so that they will understand. Western cultures don’t usually. But I understand if he sometimes offends some of us. The messages are not meant for US Politics, which is certainly different that just saying “Don’t” like his predecessor said. I personally hope that Ukraine blows every Iranian ship headed to or from Russia out of the water. He is attacking them because that is how they get their Iranian drones.

I’m sure our bestest ally ever is going to do everything to ensure he sees justice for ripping off the goyim western aid flowing to Ukraine during the war.
