WASHINGTON — President Trump announced a new red line against Iran Wednesday, vowing to obliterate critical civilian infrastructure in the Islamic Republic for every attack against vessels in the Strait of Hormuz — prompting Iranian state media to declare it was ready to set American troops “on fire” and “punish their regional partners forever.”
“From this point forward, any time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT, including those located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran,” Trump proclaimed on Truth Social.
Iran swiftly fired back through state-affiliated media.
“If the Americans attack a bridge or power station in Iran, we will respond by striking infrastructure and bridges in the region, including energy facilities in which the United States has interests,” an Iranian military source told the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-linked Tasnim News.
Tasnim also warned that Trump’s “gambling would lead to his disgrace once again.”
Trump’s warning came a day after he said the US would “very probably” strike Iran’s underground Pickaxe Mountain nuclear facility near Natanz, about 120 miles south of Tehran.
“Normally I wouldn’t say that; if I thought they could do something about it I would never say that, but we’ll be hitting that area pretty soon, and very heavily.”

Do it, but destroy two bridges and power plants at the same time. Then President Trump can say “I lost count, no longer counting any more!”.
Destroying bridges and crap only hurts the people of Iran. Either target the Iranian Guard and the Mullahs or go home. Or just nuke the mountain and then go home...
Now the bad guys who are entirely willing to go down "with the ship", along with most of the rest of the world know exactly what the U.S. plans to do.
Which is alright, so long as the people on the ground also know in real time exactly how their leadership is using them as pawns and risking their lives and the lives of their families with little chance of success.
One should hope the U.S. is doing everything it can to so directly inform those people.

They’re going to play tit for tat until November. A war weary nation will hand control over to the democrats who will stop everything Trump is trying to do.

How does one know if the plants that will be bombed are primarily in IRGC and mullah intensive areas? Maybe roads and bridges bombed will be those that would block IGRC and regular army access to areas that might be commandeered by any armed rebellion.
