Watch Sunny Hostin on Police Bodycam Video Play the "Harvard" and "TV Star" Card to Help Her Son
YouTube ^ | 07/20/2026 | Megyn Kelly

Posted on 07/20/2026 8:57:11 PM PDT by SmokingJoe

In this episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, host Megyn Kelly criticizes The View co-host Sunny Hostin for her behavior during a police interaction involving her 24-year-old son (0:00 - 1:06).

Key points from the video:

The Incident: Hostin's son was stopped by police for trespassing while running on railroad tracks, a dangerous and illegal activity (2:56 - 3:13). The incident was captured on police bodycam footage (5:48 - 5:52).

The Controversy: Kelly argues that Hostin displayed hypocrisy by leveraging her status as a former federal prosecutor, her TV career, and her son’s Ivy League education (Harvard/Yale) to influence the police officer, despite her frequent public stance that "no one is above the law" (6:23 - 6:40, 10:47 - 11:44).

Kelly's Criticism: While acknowledging that any parent would want to help their child, Kelly finds Hostin's specific use of her professional and social standing to avoid a minor citation "disgusting" and contradictory to her public persona (0:00 - 0:37, 12:32 - 13:39).

Safety Context: The video includes segments highlighting the dangers of trespassing on railroad tracks, noting that it is a leading cause of rail-related fatalities and that trains cannot stop quickly (4:32 - 5:21, 8:38 - 9:02).

Megyn Kelly concludes by expressing that the backlash against Hostin is not due to a parent defending their child, but rather the perceived elitism and hypocrisy demonstrated during the interaction.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

The sheer hypocrisy of "No one's above the law" Hostin is staggering.

I’m surprised this story is still being talked about, over a week later. But it’s good. That way, more people can see for themselves the elitism and hypocrisy of certain Libs such as Sunny. Her son has what can only be described as a ‘punchable face’ with that smug smirk, as he watches Mommy fight his battles for him w/o a speck of shame.

Megyn is hot and has a sexy body but why does she wear a tracksuit on TV? What happened to the anchorwomen who used to wear nice dresses and makeup? I guess that era is gone and it’s athleisure all the time?

Ticketing anyone for jogging along railroad tracks is just stupid.

As kids, we used to see who could walk the furthest on a rail without falling off.

Exactly. I am a blond white woman and I am terrified of cops even though the worst I ever got was a speeding ticket. I am terrified if they stop my adult children. I don’t trust them not to be on a power trip. I don’t trust them not to be rage roiding. Did I mention I am also a lawyer? I was in a mediation when a cop I was representing got p888ed off and knocked over a chair. He was a big, tall person.

I don’t trust them. Cops are in danger every day and that does something to their brains. They see threats everywhere and some of them are cops for the wrong reasons. Some of them enjoy wrangling other people to the ground. Some of them enjoy overpowering other people. Most of them don’t prevent crime, they are the mop up operation.

So flame on people. Flame on. I don’t care. This is my impression. I have had a cop ask me what I wanted him to say at the trial. I pleaded that case out because I wasn’t going to put a liar on the stand.

Is this Sonny Hostin thing pathetic? Yes. It is. The entitled Harvard brat should have accepted his citation, apologized, thanked the cop for saving his life and gone home. Who knows what he was really doing there? Running? BS. But he was not wanting to get shot either.

A 24 year old Harvard graduate is “just a kid”?
On what planet is that?

He is a 24-year old adult, a “Harvard” grad, doing research for “Yale” and he had to call his mom for help? To top it off, she rushes to the “crime scene”. I think CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES should get involved.

I could not care less if you trust them or not. Quite frankly I do not care what you think of them nor do I care why you feel the way you do. The important thing is that you comply with their instructions and do not try to physically assault or even threaten them.

Take this from someone whose wife and son are in law enforcement. They don't care what you think or say either. Putting up with idiots is part of their job.
