It was Iran that broke the 60-day “comprehensive cease-fire” established by the Memorandum of Understanding by attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz, period.
Before the ink was dry on the MOU, which guaranteed open passage through the Strait of Hormuz, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard asserted Tehran’s control and ownership of the waterway and warned that merchant ships must obtain its OK to transit; then it started firing on vessels that didn’t comply.
Blocking sea lanes reopened the war, and Israel had nothing to do with it.
It’s also preposterous to charge that Jerusalem wants the war to drag on “indefinitely”; it’s always been clear about its objectives on Iran: destroy its nuclear capability, eviscerate its conventional-war machine; if possible, foster the end of the regime that makes Tehran an enemy of civilization.
Yes, Israel hated the MOU, which was drawn up completely without its involvement — and so left it no way to undermine it, except insofar as Iran claimed that Israeli self-defense against Hezbollah’s attacks from Lebanon somehow broke the truce.
Even then, Jerusalem yielded to President Donald Trump’s demands that it back off in Lebanon.
Vance went to other ugly places in his chat with Rogan: pretending that an open Israel-funded PR effort to counter antisemitism among younger conservatives somehow is actually a secret drive to undo peace with Iran and smear him; suggesting that the craziest Jeffrey Epstein conspiracy theories are true and Israel is part of the plot.
Maybe he wanted to deflect responsibility for the failure of an MOU he helped negotiate; maybe he resents how Trump opted for a war he likely opposed and then stuck him with trying to negotiate an exit.
Whatever: Pitching conspiracy theories, especially ones that flirt with rank antisemitism, is the wrong way out of your dilemma, JD.

Larry Kudlow is asking ‘What is JD Vance doing’? he spends too much time online...

JD Vance negotiated a pile of crap.
Vance is pretty cozy with Candace and maybe Carlson too.
Moreso with his mentor, the “just asking questions” p.o.s. Kookie Qatarlson.
Vance is a terrible negotiator. He is weak and unknowledgeable.
The crap MOU fell apart not because of any propaganda campaign, but because the IRGC are complete jihadi lunatics. JD must know that. But blaming Israel for just about everything is in vogue these days, and JD thinks it’ll help him in ‘28. It won’t.
The NY Post editorial is very weak sauce, written by people with substantial imaginations and weak evidence for their claims. The hit job being done to VP Vance lacks substance, specifics, refuting , and doesn’t seem well thought out.
I’m not convinced by these spurious claims and will be backing Trump & Vance over the machinations of a foreign lobby as we move into the future.
maybe at the same time
Even if the IRGC were not lunatics, it was obvious they would scuttle the deal in order to remain relevant. They can’t run things under the “Iran becomes a nice country” scenario.
I’m sorry but JD has shown himself to be a hillbilly on foreign policy.
True a part of the base identifies with that.
I like JD Vance. Trump said he was going to negotiate a deal and if it didn’t work out he as going to blame JD. And THAT...is what happened. LOL
Trump chose him as VP, and so far, Trump has not crapped on Vance like your types have.
I guess you don’t care for Trump either because you obviously do not trust his judgment.
Vance is dead to me now, I will never buy what he is selling. Give me Rubio/Bessent\28!
Serious question: Was JD blaming Israel, or was he telling the Trump critics in Israel to shut their traps? There’s a difference.
We have seen this before. There was a poster at a Nazi meeting in the 1930's that said "Die Juden sind Unsere Ungluckeit". That is "the Jews are our misfortune".
Did Israel hypnotize Iran into continuing to attack commercial vessels crossing the Strait of Hormuz, including those hugging the coast of another country to be as far away from Iran as possible?
The bat signal has gone out for all the usual suspects to dump in my boy JD - and like clapping seals, they sure are.
Vance/Gabbard 2028. Restore America.
A massive tranche of unsealed US DOJ Epstein Files revealed that Epstein had deep,
documented, and controversial ties to certain Israeli intelligence and its political circles.
Key aspects of these connections include:
<><>Political and Intelligence Ties: Epstein had long-standing relationships with high-profile Israeli elites, including former Prime Minister Ehud Barak. While leaked emails and documents detailed years of close business and personal ties, Ehud Barak has not been implicated in Epstein’s sex abuse and has formally expressed regret over knowing him.
<><>Epstein and Israeli Intelligence: Persistent theories suggest Epstein acted as an asset or intermediary for Israeli intelligence. The unsealed DOJ files contained FBI memos where sources suspected he was a co-opted Mossad agent. However, the Israeli government has repeatedly denied these claims.
Epstein’s Israeli Money Ties: Records released by the Justice Department show Epstein funneled money to Israeli and pro-Israel organizations, including donations to the Jewish National Fund and the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces. His associations with powerful figures in Israel were real, and connect Israel to his criminal sex business.
What were Jeffrey Epstein’s links to Israel? -— Al Jazeera Feb 9, 2026 —
The ties between disgraced US financier Jeffrey Epstein and Israel are becoming clearer after the release of millions of documents. Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘one single cause’ was Israel.
Israel’s ex-PM Ehud Barak and Epstein had close relationship, emails reveal. Ehud Barak explored many business ventures with Epstein and now says he regrets knowing Epstein after documents detail their long friendship.

And what has Trump done to show that he is a top-notch negotiator? Can he negotiate with Congress? No. Can he even negotiate within his own party? No. Can he negotiate with the Iranians? No. But he shouldn’t have to because according to him, we’ve obliterated them 73 times. Can he negotiate an end to the Russia Ukraine war? No. But he told us he would have it solved on day one. How about all of the trade deals that he promised us? He was supposed to negotiate 90 trade deals in 90 days, I don’t think he’s negotiated but two or three.
I find it hilarious how everybody on here is going to crap all over JD for actually saying what many people in the country think, and for being one of the few people in the administration to understand the missteps that the Adminstration has had. The question you all should be asking yourselves, instead of ripping JD, is why do we even have to negotiate with Iran? Trump told us that we have destroyed them, that they have no military left, that we destroyed their nuclear stockpiles in June 2025. A recurring theme with Trump is that he seems to forget that he is the head of the government and the commander and chief, but it’s always somebody else’s fault why things don’t get done.
Since that's not going to happen doesn't it mean dragging the war on "indefinitely"?
I have moderate Jewish friends who voted for Trump, but were afraid of Vance. I like Vance, but he’s wrong on this.
