(July 16, 2026 / JNS) The Knesset opened the plenum session on Wednesday with a minute of silence to commemorate Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who passed away on July 11 following a sudden illness. “In honor of one of the greatest friends the State of Israel has ever had, members of the Knesset from both sides of the aisle will now rise for a moment of silence to pay our respects to the legendary Sen. Lindsey Graham, may his memory be a blessing,” said Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana in the opening remarks of the session.

He was a great friend of Israel, no doubt about that

A sudden illness and he’s gone. I still find it hard to fathom.

Lindsey Graham was a staunch Southern Baptist, a devout Christian and a longtime member
of Corinth Baptist Church in Seneca, SC, where he was baptized and professed his faith.

A nice gesture. After finding out a lot about Graham that I didn’t know, I feel a little bad about bashing him for so long. It really seemed like he redeemed himself a lot towards the end. He went from an enemy to a very loyal friend of trump. I hope he redeemed himself with the Lord as well before he passed.

Lindsey Graham was considered to be legendary. There is a sort of double meaning in that characterization, one as being a famed mover and shaker of events, and the other based on possibly exaggerated accounts of deeds and actions. Take your pick.

What is on video and documented is not exaggeration. It is fact. The words and deeds are well known. The hypocrisy around here is also well known lately. LOL

The bullchit to make him sainted is just that. Bullchit.

Was he a good manipulator and an adept politician? Yes. but so the hell was Nancy Pelosi.
