A planned fight between two women prompted a Tuesday night shooting in Dauphin County that ended in a high-speed chase and collision with a police car, according to court records.
Mya Elias, 22, agreed to fight a woman after a Facebook dispute escalated into a fiery exchange of messages on Facebook Messenger.
Elias posted screenshots of the messages on her Facebook page Tuesday afternoon, saying the woman had “harassed me twice over (her) bd.” The initials stand for baby’s dad.
The woman then posted about the dispute on her Facebook page and provided Elias’ address to commenters.
That’s when Elias posted at 5:07 p.m.: “You leaked where my kids lay their head? I know where you stay.”
Shortly after that, police say Elias showed up at the woman’s apartment in the 4000 block of Fawn Drive in Lower Paxton Township, with her boyfriend, and the women fought as planned. But during the fight, Elias’ boyfriend, Desean J. Robinson, 25, and another man “entered into the altercation.”
Police say Robinson then shot the man from the fight “at a very close range,” hitting him in the neck. The victim survived the shooting, which was reported at 5:37 p.m.
Robinson got into a Jeep after the shooting, according to court records, and pointed a gun twice at a woman who tried to stop him from fleeing. He was described as wearing a ski mask.
According to an affidavit of probable cause written by police:
He drove away on Valley Road when an officer spotted the Jeep speeding and passing other vehicles in the middle of the road and on the shoulder.
The officer turned around to follow the Jeep and said the driver turned right onto Progress Avenue, running the red light. The Jeep driver ran another red light and nearly lost control while turning right onto Interstate Drive.
The officer lost sight of the Jeep until spotting it again on Alessandro Boulevard at the La Collina apartments, where a family pointed to the back of the complex.
The officer said she was prepared to use her cruiser to perform a PIT maneuver, which involves bumping a suspect vehicle in a way that causes it to spin out, but the driver cut through the grass and headed toward the exit.
Officers at the exit tried, without success, to deploy a strip of “stop sticks” designed to flatten the suspect’s tires.
As the Jeep went “back south on Interstate Drive it was involved in a collision with a Lower Paxton police officer in a marked vehicle. No further details have been released as to how the collision occurred.
The crash occurred about two miles from the scene of the shooting.
The chasing officer said she drew her gun and had it trained on the driver as she helped get him out of the Jeep through the passenger door.
The driver was searched, and police found no gun, according to court records.
Robinson had a suspended license and vehicle registration, according to police.
He was charged with three felonies: attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and carrying a gun without a license, and four misdemeanors, including assault, disorderly conduct and tampering with evidence for “destroying, concealing or removing” the firearm used in the crime to impair the investigation, according to court records. He was jailed without bond.
His girlfriend, Elias, was charged with conspiracy for attempted homicide, a felony, and three misdemeanors, including assault and disorderly conduct. She was jailed in place of a $250,000 bond.

As expected.

They gave it away with the “bd” (“baby dad”) reference.
