A St. Bonaventure University professor is facing backlash on social media after appearing to celebrate the death of South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham in a social media post before deleting it less than 12 hours later, prompting renewed scrutiny of political rhetoric on college campuses.
A social media account identified as belonging to Ibrahim Zabad, a political science professor at the private university in western New York, posted a message late Saturday evening celebrating Graham's death, using inflammatory language and ending with the phrase "Rest in Hell," according to Campus Reform.

The post added, "He genuinely endorsed Israel's genocidal war and unabashedly supported the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians from their native lands. He wholeheartedly and passionately supported the project of Greater Israel along with all the massacres, occupation, dispossession and savagery and barbarism that this entails. He was a merciless warmonger and bigot. Rest in Hell."

Every college has a number of educated jerks who couldn’t make it in the real world. The University becomes their sanctuary. They really don’t know squat about life on the outside, but it scares them anyway.

This “professor” forgets that there are millions who have taken the oath to protect the USA against enemies, foreign and domestic. If his statement did not shine a spotlight on himself as a domestic enemy then I don’t know what would.

If the university keeps this idiot on the faculty, there’s going to be a huge blowback in a variety of ways (e.g., donations, applications, scholarship money, etc.).
A number of editorial cartoonists are constantly pumping out anti-Trump cartoons (as is their right). One of them, Chris Britt, had a cartoon yesterday showing Uncle Sam celebrating the news of the death of Senator Lindsey Graham.
