Recent Flashback: Matthew Yglesias Idolizes Platner Vetter in New York Times

So who will vet the vetters?

Certainly not Matthew Yglesias who had an opinion piece in the New York Times less than a month ago, June 17, in which he enthuses so much over the one who supposedly vetted Graham Platner, Daniel Moraff (pictured), that it comes off as The Adoration of the Moraff as you can read in "The Democrats Need Better Candidates. This Guy Knows How to Find Them."

Love is in the air as Yglesias merrily gushes over Moraff, the one whom many/most Democrats are furious at for perhaps ruining their chances of taking the Senate in the midterm elections.

It turns out that the Democrats have a big midterm vetting cleanup task ahead of them because Yglesias revealed that Moraff also handpicked a bunch of other candidates this year going into the midterm elections.

Perhaps it was a sly prank on the Democrat party as a whole, how Daniel Moraff managed to make these “in your face” selections to fill specific nomination slots. The objective was to fly them in “under the radar”, and paint them as “moderates” until after the election, then the camouflage would be stripped off and the raw unedited hate-America rhetoric could be applied full force.

Only, in the instance of Graham Cracker Platner, the camouflage was swiftly torn away, and the real fallacy was revealed almost immediately.

Odd, in retrospect, how similar all these nominees supposedly vetted by Daniel Moraff , shall turn out to have a similar kind and number of skeletons in their closets, as Platner. Shouldn’t take very much digging, either.

That turned my stomach to watch that jackass and his...whatever she was...laugh and smile.

They don’t care. They are utter incompetent failures. But their attitude completely epitomizes the Left at all levels.

They don’t care if they do their job well or not. It is all about the acquisition and expression of power. Everything else is a laughable joke on the rubes.

Don’t get me wrong. I am glad these people are incompetent and vetted that POS Platner so ineffectually. Their attitude just shows they really didn’t care.

Their goal was to put up a candidate who could serve as a Leftist-Marxist vessel and provide a reliable vote in the Senate, and they were depending on the lying and deception of the Democrat party in general and the Platner campaign in particular to just dissemble and deceive voters long enough to get him to the general election where it came down to the pulling of a lever by a weak and venal voter.

They were hoping there were enough of them out there to pull the lever and actually get their candidate into office before anything caught up with them. It was the campaign equivalent of the “Drive By Media” where they hope to move so fast the problems with the candidate would only be seen in his wake, and it would become “yesterday’s news”.

And they were banking on that. They don’t care, and didn’t care about all the Leftist blather. They just wanted power.

Despicable.
