Israel warned US of new Iranian plot to kill Trump: report
The New York Post ^ | 07/09/2026 | Victor Nava

Posted on 07/09/2026 9:06:11 PM PDT by thegagline

Israel recently shared intelligence with the US about a new Iranian plot to assassinate President Trump, according to a report.

The latest assassination plan, reported by the Wall Street Journal on Thursday, comes after years of Iranian regime threats to kill Trump as revenge for the 2020 killing of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Gen. Qasem Soleimani by US forces.

When asked for comment, the White House referred The Post to Trump’s Wednesday remarks at the NATO summit in Ankara.

”They want to take out the US leader — me,” Trump said. “I’m on whatever list. I saw this morning I’m on every single one of their lists. And so far, I guess I’ve been a bit lucky, but maybe that doesn’t last very long.”

“These are evil, sick people,” the president continued. “And we have to root out that cancer. That cancer. You know what you do? You’ve got to cut out cancer early. And that’s the way I feel.”

*** The Israelis tipped the US off about the plot earlier this week. The specific threat was not being tracked by US officials before Israel’s warning and has yet to be vetted, CNN reported. ***

The warning comes as Trump’s relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has become somewhat fraught amid the Iran war.

Trump on June 1 told Netanyahu he was “f–king crazy” over his attacks on Lebanon, fearing they would provoke more war with Iran. ”You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me. I’m saving your ass. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this,” a US official summarized Trump’s comments, which the president later confirmed to The Post. ***

They? Democrats and the government of Iran have a lot in common.

Didn’t we kill their leader first?
We also killed many members of his family, including his daughter, his 14 month old grandchild, and his son in law.

I think any governent in world history would consider revenge if their leader was killed, along with their wife, daughter, and 14 month old grandchild.

I think the USA would also consider retaliating in kind if our leader was killed, along with his son, daughter, and baby grandchild.

Right?

The DemocRAT base has had more serious attempts on Trump’s life, with shots fired, than Iran has.

I am fine with Israel fighting its wars, but I believe that she is not beyond using false or speculative information to try to drag us in as the well-armed ally.

I just get a bit of a Wimpy “Let’s you and him fight” vibe about this whole thing.

Trump may well be living on borrowed time. The question is—what will the American People do if they get him? What? Nuke Iran? Many in the USA would cheer and dance in the streets—at least in private. There would be a JFK like funeral, three days of mourning, burial at Arlington with an eternal flame. His face will get on money. Then the lies and plots to turn him into Nixon—a hated figure so that history will call him an egomaniac, failed president—to pave the way for a democratic socialist in the White House. Would the people stand for that?

That’s why the Psychomullah regime must be destroyed.
They’ve been killing Americans for years and THEY started it.
The US has to finish it.

Therefore. what?
I’m not being snarky. I just want to know what you would recommend? Keep in mind. Iran has been paying 3rd party individuals for years to go after certain American citizens within our borders.

“Pro-ISIS Poster Invokes 2015 Paris Attacks In Call For Lone Wolves To Target U.S. FIFA World Cup Events”
“On July 7, 2026, pro-ISIS Arabic-language media outlet Al-Murhafat published a poster titled “Seizing Opportunities.” The poster depicts a stadium, a timebomb, hand grenades, and a computer screen displaying the recent Al-Naba’ editorial calling for lone wolf attacks targeting the World Cup.
“Who Will Be Crowned the Title?” It described the soccer tournament as a “feast of filth” and a “deadly weapon” in the hands of “Crusaders” and Jews, aimed at undermining Muslim faith and morals. ISIS called the events a “golden opportunity” for would-be lone actors to carry out “heroic” acts.”

Would the people stand for that?

I believe that people will stand for that.

A ruthless minority of extremists can always dominate a much larger population.

It is up to us to determine how things work out.

Trump will eventually be gone as President of the United States, no matter what the cause of his departure might be. We had best be planning for activities that will continue to remove existing Leftists from power and prevent their return.

No victory is ever final. Not for them. Not for us.

Nothing to do with empathy.

Everything to do with a sober review of our true national interest.

Perhaps, maybe, the world is a little more complex than, “Who did X first?” But yeah, by first grade playground logic, you may be on to something.

You stoop quickly and easily to insults because you lack wisdom and decency.

But I will raise a few questions for the forum.

Did the assasination of the elderly leader of Iran weaken their government or strengthen it?

Among Iranians in Iran, did it strengthen support for the government or weaken it?

Was our assasination of the Iranian negotiating team in our national interests?

We didn’t assassinate the Iranian negotiating team... WTH? Get out of Candace Fantasyland.

Did the assassination of the elderly leader of Iran weaken their government or strengthen it?

Way too early to tell.

Among Iranians in Iran, did it strengthen support for the government or weaken it?

Weakened it and you are crazy or qatari of you think otherwise.

Didn’t we kill their leader first?

The strike that killed Khomeini and the others was done by the Israelis. Our military conducted different strikes during the early part of the war. Here is the NY Post story from 3/5/26 that explains how the Israelis accomplished the strike.

Also, the Iranians and their proxies killed over 1,000 American military personnel and civilians during the last several decades, and they have constantly howled "Death to America." When is enough, enough for you?

I don’t think many people would believe that the killing of the Iranian leader was not done with USA intelligence and tacit approval. Actually I bet you don’t believe that either.

The same with the Iranian negotiators who were killed, USA real time intelligence and tactic approval.
Few people around the world would view these actions as distinctly Israeli and with no involvement or complicity for the USA. No one believes it and it’s just not remotely true either.

I think your question about the propriety of killing him is a deceptive false choice.

Lots of countries have had thousands of their people killed by money and intelligence and support from other countries.

Does that they mean that in every case, they should kill the leaders of those countries?

Or should they instead make a sober review of the consequences and whether doing so is truly in their national interest, in the long run?

1: Stop with lie about assassinating Iranian negotiators.

2: Stop simping for Iran.

You justify Iran:

“I think any governent in world history would consider revenge if their leader was killed”

But attack America

“Lots of countries have had thousands of their people killed by money and intelligence and support from other countries. Does that they mean that in every case, they should kill the leaders of those countries?”
