The Maine Democratic Party’s state committee voted Wednesday to hold a nominating convention to select a replacement for U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner, according to a party statement and an account of the meeting shared with the Bangor Daily News.
More than 100 state committee members attended the meeting and voted in favor of the convention process, the party said in a statement. The convention would include 500 delegates elected proportionally by county committees, along with the entire state committee, according to the account of the meeting.

Although Platner has said he’s dropping out, he hasn’t officially filed the paperwork to withdraw. What would the Democrats do if he conveniently didn’t bother to file the paperwork?

Not 600…that’s window dressing only for appearances. The ‘candidate’ has already been selected and will be pushed forward like it or not. This is how the commie party rolls.

The party bosses made their decision, the 600 people will be managed to give the appearance of some quasi election , just because the took heat over selecting Harris without a single voter weighing in. Rest assured though, some party hack that’s pre-selected will emerge victorious.
