The coach of the Egyptian national team was visibly seething as fans waved around an Israeli flag after his team’s 3-2 loss to Argentina.
Egypt maintained a 2-0 lead up until the 79th minute of Tuesday’s FIFA World Cup match. Argentina then went on a tear that began with a Cristian Romero goal assisted by Lionel Messi.
Just a few minutes later, Messi scored the equalizer. Then, in stoppage time, Enzo Fernandez scored on a header to complete the stunning comeback win.
As the Egyptian team was walking off the pitch, coach Hossam Hassan noticed a pair of Argentina fans holding up an Israeli flag. Hassan then began yelling at the fans. Another member of his staff appeared to be pointing and yelling at them, as well.
As he continued walking, Hassan turned his attention to a photographer documenting the ordeal. The coach got right in the photographer’s face before being ushered away.
In another video recorded just feet away from the altercation, Hassan could be seen pointing to the Egyptian emblem on his shirt while yelling at the fans. He then appears to spit. Following closely behind Hassan was another coach who yelled, “F*ck you!”
Hassan has previously shown support for the people of Gaza by waving a Palestinian flag after Egypt’s group stage win against Australia. He even dedicated the win to the Palestinians.

Despite finding humor in this, World Cup is not the place to be making political statements. Same for the instances where countries and FIFA tried to push other ideas. Save the protests for after the game.
It proves how easily triggered, and hyper-political, Muslims are.

Hassan can dish it out, but doesn’t have the self-control to take the heat.
Get Stuffed
Wait I thought muslims were not allowed to play sports and have fun ,LOL
Sounds like Hillary’s last visit to Egypt. All the ‘protesters’ shouted Monica Monica!
one thing you notice about muslim countries is that they do not score high in any competitions whether intellectual or physical.
Nice man. Seething with hatred. But did he slice a throat? Total control. Babysit my jew kid.
Ironic considering Egypt was one of two Muslim countries making it to the World Cup Round of 16 and Israel didn't even qualify.
-btw is there any chance your a Canadian? 😂
you’re
A nothing burger. Just another muslim that can spew hate but not take it. And besides, it’s soccer, who cares...
Why doesn’t his country welcome Palestinians in the country then if they are so pro-Palestinian?
The relationship between Egypt and Israel is the very definition of “cold peace”. Egypt despite outnumbering Israel by over 25:1 can up short in four wars against Israel. Given the high emotion nationalist frenzt these soccer matches seem to generate, its understandable how easily triggered Coach Hassan would be by people waving the Israel flag after such a heart breaking defeat. Wouldn’t doubt that Hassan is aware of friend and relatives lost in those wars.
Interestingly, despite all the Western press lauding the coach for displaying the Fakestinian flag after beating Brazil - in Egypt people were furious at him, calling him a traitor for "raising a foreign flag" instead of the Egyptian one.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the coaches are members of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Now I’m glad Argentina won.
Tell me your a fag without saying it. 😂
