NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani delivers a speech marking America's 250th anniversary:
"The irony is that the story of America has so often been written by those who were told by others with power and influence and wealth that they were anything but exceptional," he said. "For generation after generation, we have been told that when the world has sent its people to our shores, it has not sent its best."
"We are told that America is exceptional because we are richer, stronger, more powerful than everyone else. The truth, my friends, is that America is exceptional because here nothing is fixed into place," he said. "The powerful have always known their answer. America, in their view, is an arena of supremacy, where only a select few are allowed freedom, where not all are created equal. America, if you ask them, becomes less the more people it welcomes. America, they will tell you, belongs only to those with the right accent or the right shade of skin. The rest of us, they insist, should be grateful for merely being allowed to visit."
"As Thomas Paine once wrote: This new world hath been the asylum for the persecuted lovers of civil and religious liberty. Hither have they fled," Mamdani said.
"And yet today, too many of our leaders do not believe in a vision of this nation as an asylum for the persecuted, but rather as one that persecutes those seeking asylum."
"As we mark 250 years, what do we see? We see a city of contradictions within a nation of contradictions," he said. "We see the wealthiest country in the history of the world, one where children go to sleep hungry while the world's first trillionaire hungers for more. We see monopolies that dominate every..."

Video Transcript Summary
Summary of the video (approx. 15 minutes): NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani delivers a speech on July 3, 2026, at City Hall marking America's 250th anniversary (semiquincentennial). He speaks from behind a desk once used by George Washington, joined by recently naturalized citizens.
Key Themes and Content- New York City's role in American history: Mamdani opens with imagery of New York Harbor as a gateway for explorers, immigrants, the enslaved, and opportunity-seekers. He highlights pivotal Revolutionary War events in NYC (e.g., the British occupation, the Battle of Brooklyn, and Washington's evacuation) to show how independence was "rescued" there.
- Immigration and inclusion as core to America: He celebrates waves of immigrants (Irish, Chinese, Jewish, Italian, etc.) and groups like Black Americans during the Great Migration and Puerto Ricans post-WWII. He shares his own story as a 7-year-old immigrant from Uganda. NYC is portrayed as a place where people "begin anew" and build homes despite hardship.
- Reinterpreting American exceptionalism: Mamdani contrasts two visions. He rejects a narrow, supremacist view (implied critique of exclusionary policies, without naming Trump directly) that sees America as belonging only to certain accents or skin tones, where the country "becomes less" with more people. Instead, he argues America's true exceptionalism lies in its openness, fluidity, and ongoing work to fulfill founding ideals ("life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness") for all. "Nothing is fixed into place."
- Patriotism through progress and dissent: He emphasizes that the nation's story is written by those told they were not exceptional. Patriotism involves "righteous dissent," collective effort against division, and expanding rights. He calls out exclusion and fear-mongering as weak and unoriginal.
- Call to action: On this milestone, Americans should reflect on who they are and commit to making the country more just and inclusive. The speech ends on an optimistic, unifying note about the power of everyday people (including new citizens) to shape America's meaning.
The tone is inspirational, historical, and pointedly progressive—positioning NYC and its diversity as a microcosm of America's best promise. It has been widely described as a contrast/rebuke to more nationalist or restrictionist views of America. Full prepared remarks are available on the NYC Mayor's Office site, and the video is from the official NYC Mayor's Office channel.

nothing is fixed into place There will be no "ownership," no private property. The State will be all and control all.
Anyone who does not like it, does not comply
will not "be"

"Here Nothing Is Fixed Into Place" Sounds like a plan to steal everything not nailed down to the ground.

These champagne communists are first and second generation third world, whose parents won a random lottery drawing promoted by Senator John Kerry. When they say they intend to destroy us, believe them.

Did the Ugandan lead them in The Pledge of Allegiance or at least autograph their citizenship certificates?

Here is something that is fixed. Real Americans will not allow themselves to be subjugated to a bunch of Muslim Marxist sh*tbags. If New York City or Colorado or Illinois or California want that, they are welcome to it. They ought not to be allowed to take the rest of America to hell with them. If they are not resisted, then we might as well declare America dead, and reflect on how nice it was while it lasted.
