People who are HIV positive but are otherwise qualified to join the military can once again do so while a legal challenge to the Pentagon’s restrictions on military service moves forward, according to a federal appeals court order issued this week.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit clarified Tuesday that a lower-court order blocking enforcement of the restrictions has been back in effect since May 18, when the full court agreed to rehear the case.
The order applies to applicants who are HIV-positive but asymptomatic and have undetectable viral loads through medication.

The DOD should ingore this order.
No medically dependent people are admissible in the military except apparently people with HIV and transsexuals.
Bizarro.
Anyone who is on life dependent medication is non deployable. You can’t guarantee the supply chain of such medications and you can’t guarantee access to a doctor either. This is why anyone with such conditions cannot pass medical eligibility for enlistment. HIV should not have special rules.
Do not watch many commercials these days, but one really floored me.
The title of the commercial could have been Undetectable.
The medicine is Truvada Antiretroviral Therapy (ART).
With enough of the medicine, “some” people’s tests will result in HIV being “undetectable.” It does not say “gone” “cured” just.... we cannot detect it.
At the end of the commercial they made it obvious that, with the undetectable result..... “You can start dating again!”
Are the guys that were kicked out for not taking the Covid shot able to join?
Try to join with requiring ADHD meds see how well that goes for you. The left is nuts.
