The U.S. and Iran presented differing narratives Tuesday on whether U.N. inspectors could visit nuclear sites and if Tehran had any interest in buying American crops, underscoring a complex start to the 60-day negotiations.
Mr. Trump insisted Tuesday that Iran would agree to inspections of its nuclear sites as part of peace talks “despite their protestations and false statements to the contrary.”
“If they did not agree to this, there would be no further negotiations!” Mr. Trump said on social media.
But on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei denied that Tehran agreed to accept visits from the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Mr. Trump also said Iran’s frozen funds would be placed in escrow so the country could buy American corn, wheat and soy.
Again, however, Iran denied the claim, saying it had no current demand for U.S. crops.

Wish they’d get these a-holes in the same room with Vanc or whoever and either speak with one voice or we’ll all know who is BSing whom.
They say one thing, then another to their home media.
If they fail to live up to the agreement a nuclear device in ground penetrating mode will be used to destroy their “dust”. With warning; too little time to move it, but enough to prevent unnecessary deaths. If they rush women and children into the kill zone, that’s on them.
Both Iran and the USA are using the same good cop/bad cop strategy.
Vance and the Iranian president agree in Switzerland that something might be possible.
Then Trump and Khamenie back home say that giving up on that issue is never going to happen.
The goal is to make even the most minor concession seem and enormous sacrifice.
Basic tactics that Trump is a master of. The problem is the Iranians have all read his books.
The Saudis are now negotiating a military alliance with Pakistan leaving the US behind. Word got out among secret service agencies that Israel was planning a hit on a high ranking Pakistani military officer involved in the negotiations. Pakistan was alerted to this and sent a message to Israel via Oman that if they tried it Pakistan would wipe Israel off the map.
