Federal agents pounced on a slew of alleged medical fraudsters accused of massive schemes in Los Angeles – including a $27 million scheme to steal the identities of the dead – as part of a national takedown by acting Attorney General Todd Blanche in Washington, D.C.
Authorities arrested five people accused of stealing millions in taxpayer dollars and charged five others, including a Van Nuys hospice owner accused of stealing the identities of dead people to fund a flashy car collection with a $530,000 Rolls Royce Phantom.
In a Tuesday press conference, Blanche announced more takedowns that charged hundreds defendants nationwide.
The feds this year busted medical fraudsters accused of stealing more than $6.5 billion nationwide, including a record-breaking arrest of 455 alleged healthcare crooks in 45 states, the nation’s top prosecutors said.
“Fraudsters can no longer rip off American taxpayers,” Blanche said at the press conference from Department of Justice Headquarters on Pennsylvania Ave.
“If you seek to harm or cheat Americans, we will find you, seize any assets, and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.”
Federal authorities suspended Medicare payments to 1,000 people in the first half of the year, and much of the fraud occurs in California, said FBI Director Kash Patel.
“That’s a lot of people,” said Patel, with “nearly 800 by the way, from one state, California.”
Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. called out Los Angeles as a hive of hospice fraud, pointing out that federal authorities have closed down 800 hospices in LA alone.
“One of the ways that we’ve been able to detect that fraud is, that in many of them, the patients never die, they live forever,” said Kennedy. “That’s not supposed to happen in hospices.”

The Feds need to be cleaning up their own back yard.
Specifically where does all that tax money go?
How many gov’t officials line their own pockets and have expensive trips supposedly for “official business”?
The fraud starts with the mostly unconstitutional federal gov’t.

Billions and billions and billions of dollars for welfare fraud, Medicaid fraud, Covid fraud, illegal immigrates …..
But, no funds to hire and staff major airport hubs with competent air traffic controllers.
Agreed but our masters will never suffer punishment. When one falls out of favor the others will throw us a bone and rat that one out and claim they are appalled and pass yet another meaningless law.
With the amount of fraud in California, there should be at least a dozen of these stories every day.
One group of people not too happy about this crackdown on fraud is the luxury car dealers.

And they keep threatening us about SS running out.
A judge will put a stop to putting a stop to this.
Simple, Fraud must be monitored and if any fraud is detected over .05% the funding gets stopped.
These blue states and many red- use natural disasters to fund their budgets. Then they steal from that. No wonder citizens complain about the potholes going unfilled.
The worker bees in these agencies/offices are constantly told we have no money. Well they don’t. It never gets to its intended purpose. And people die because instead of buying and delivering box fans to the elderly poor, the Queens steal the $.
These arrests are not getting the money returned. Anything the feds do get, they’ll steal. And the best goes on.
I’m pretty sure there is at least 10 in Paradise Valley, AZ.
I was looking at a PV home about 8 years ago and the 7000sqft luxury home was setup as a nursing home with no patients.
Felt very strange!
Where does the tax money go?
To a massive HHS and SSA bureaucracy that cannot keep track in the database of who is dead.
To the IT contractors like Deloitte (in CA and most other states, all the big states) for maintaining databases that have the known dead (and DUPLICATES) enrolled and in the database.
Deloitte is probably the single biggest FRAUDSTER.

The REAL gangster here is the $3+ trillion unconstitutional portion of the federal gov't, much of which is the unconstitutional $1 trillion HHS bureaucracy.

By definition Deloitte is intentionally committing fraud....
Both if you define HHS as unconstituional or
