A heroic Indiana mother was killed when she stepped in between her son and an 18-year-old gunman who had pulled a firearm on them during a Facebook marketplace sale.

Meet in a busy public place preferably with security cameras.
Bring a trusted friend so there are 2 of you.

Our Police Station and Municipal Bldg. have a designated area in the parking lot for such transactions.
It’s appropriate and the truth...sad as it is to say...Wouldn’t we all like to see it change? Sadly, it doesn’t appear to be...
That was the mistake. Do exchanges at the police station parking lot. A lot of police departments have designated locations with cameras.
If the races were reversed,,,,this would be front page news with riots in big cities.
This is a tragedy. But it points out a couple things. First, I’d never sell anything on Facebook Marketplace or anything like it. Second, it was just a watch. Give it to the thug and let him go.
And be armed.
