Nigel Farage's chance of leading UK laid bare in bombshell poll
Express ^ | Thu, Jun 11, 2026 | Jon King

A bombshell poll shows Nigel Farage inching closer to leading the UK as Reform UK surges ahead of rival parties. Average vote shares from 11 polling companies that published a general election poll in May put Mr Farage's outfit on 27.8% of the vote, up 1.4 percentage points on April.

Reform UK is almost eight percentage points ahead of Labour's 19.9%, with the Conservative Party trailing behind on 18.3%, the Green Party on 13.6% and the Lib Dems 12.1%, according to analysis from the Electoral Reform Society (ERS). The Society's polling breakdown came after Reform UK enjoyed sweeping gains in the local elections on May 7.

Mr Farage told the Express: "The message from the British people could not be clearer. Reform UK has led the way in the last 305 national opinion polls because millions of voters have had enough of the broken promises and managed decline delivered by Labour and the Conservatives.

“Having won two national elections in two years, we also have more than 2,300 councillors across the country. Reform is already running town halls up and down the land — and we’re still just getting started.”

Odd headline, laid bare typically implies something unsavory or not expected, neither of which applies to the political status of the Reform Party which has been pretty much storming the UK, it has been obvious

The Left is always shocked that their point of view isn’t universal.

In 2016 I told many people Trump was gonna win, most of whom were nominally right of center.

None of them believed me. The leftist mindset is that ingrained.

It goes back to the Bolsheviks and their command of propaganda: name your party the “Big” party to give the impression everyone agrees with you. Never let an alternate viewpoint into the collective consciousness. Create a reality distortion field that shows your ideas/people as always pre-eminent and unquestionable.

Some paki judge will rule it will be illegal for him to become PM. The UK has bowed to Islam and committed cultural suicide.

The definition of the term laid bare is: to expose to view, reveal, uncover.

So, it can be used for negative, as well as, positive exposures. The press likes to use the tern in the negative context though. 😁🤙

Ya I know in the purist sense it is neutral by definition but colloquially it gets used more as a negative connotation.

The comedy of this poll is the Lib Dems trailing the other parties. Labour and the Tories have governed for two decades and completely F’ed things up yet no one wants the Lib Dems. The Lib Dems are truly the party of the press and Champagne Socialist trust baby class, meaning that everyone else loathes them.

What uoiu really mean, is that the term is only used by the press to paint their enemies in the negative. They would never use that term twhen speaking of those they support.

For example, have they ever used that term when speaking about the fraud being exposed about fraud being exposed, or laid bare, in Blue states, or donations being collected bby Donation arms for Democrat politician's suchas Act Blue?

Thus, you have been programmed to see the term as exposing negatves only.

If the fraud was rampant in Red States, and the politician's in that state were Republican's they would use that term against the Repulbican's. But you will never see that term being used against Democrats.

So, while I only mentioned it, was to further expose to you why you made that statement. It has nothing to do with colloquial, it is a technique to shape opions.

Will the Labour, Conservative, Liberal and Green parties form a wartime coalition government to prevent Reform from taking over? Last time they did it was to fight Hitler. This time it would be to fight the British people themselves.

Also, will the British deep state toss help to Restore Britain to split the opposition vote and help old parties scrap by with a plurality in each district?

What is the curious part....they don’t even mention the Restore Party - which had a significant win in Rupert Lowe’s district.

Restore is the only one that is saying what actually needs to be done, not Reform. Reform already has lots of leadership members that are Muslim’s, along with Farage saying it isn’t realistic to deport those already here.

Democracy is a terrific system, until it generates a result that the ruling class doesn’t like.

I wish that was an accurate image of Farage. Not even close. Nigel is akin to Pence or Thune in the US. England needs a Trump with control of Parliament. What might save England is Restore. Reform just means a slower death.

Ha ha! Never thought of that!

Unfortunately (for the Dems) their party got its name before the Left taught politicians the value of lying, that "the end justifies the means."

Otherwise, the Democrats would be called "The Majority Party," or "The Majority." Maybe "The Big Party," not too far-fetched.
