A federal judge in Rhode Island has struck down a Trump administration executive order that suspended all asylum decisions and stopped visa issuance to people from Afghanistan, alongside an additional 38 other countries. As I recall, this unelected to any position Judge McConnell, an Obama appointee, seems to get a lot of high profile cases where he directs the majority elected US President to take certain actions, as though the judge is the Great Jehovah. I also believe Judge McConnell has been overturned repeatedly by appellate courts.

Seems like they could use the same process (in reverse) that companies use to “screen “ domestic applicants so they can hire H-1B instead. I mean if there are no “qualified” foreign applicants, the USA will just have to relocate domestic persons instead. I’m sure there are people that would seek asylum from any number of blue shitholes already here.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the legal system operates on a wholly subjective interpretation of law, without clear standards.

This would not be acceptable in other industries such as distribution (Good Distribution Practices, GDP), laboratories (GLP), manufacturing (GMP), agriculture (GAP), etc.

Your memory is correct. Judge John J. McConnell Jr. is an Obama-appointed federal judge in Rhode Island.

He has issued several Galactic Injunctions* against President Trump. He’s been slapped down in appellate courts and even by the Supremes who told him to stop it. He hasn’t.

Since there are no repercussions, he remains a member-in-good-standing of the cabal elites that seek to delay anything good for the country, tying up cases for years until he gets slapped down again.

He’s about 70 years old, married his boss’ daughter, and reports about a $2-3 million per annum income from his work on the Great Tobacco Settlement from thirty years ago.

Talk about comfortable living!

PS: he and his wife donated tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars to democrats and leftist causes. I would consider him NOT an impartial judge on the bench (with a lifetime appointment).

*I use the term ‘Galactic Injunctions’ for these leftist elite judges. I came to the realization that one judge, in one district, can issue a nationwide injunction for the U.S.

By extension, that has global implications. Planetary. Since our planet hosts the only known human species in the solar system, and our solar system is the only known life-supporting one in the galaxy? One old, corrupt, judge in our smallest state can issue injunctions that impact the Galaxy.

Quod erat demonstrandum, Galactic Injunctions.

No judicial authority for that judge to make that ruling. Ignore and move forward.

I disagree, I follow up quite a few of the unfavorable rulings and for the most part they end up under appeal or another avenue producing the desired outcome of the Presidents goal is implemented. This is all bread n circuses for the rabid left.

Via decades of Immigration law, the President has exceptional authority.

Trump can shut down ALL immigration - Visitors, Green Cards, Asylum, Work Permits, and Naturalization, based only on National Security issues.
