In Colombia, the tiger roars

In Colombia, they did it!

After polls and media accounts had indicated that FARC-linked leftist Ivan Cepeda could win the first round of the election, voters went and handed the tough-talking conservative the victory.

That was a stinging rebuke to Colombia's ruling leftist party and its odious president, Gustavo Petro, with voters giving them the boot and replacing them with a firmly, pro-Trump, pro-private sector, anti-crime conservative, who, worse (for them), seems to be on a mission to end the scourge of leftism forever.

Abelardo De La Espellier, known as 'el tigre'  won the first round of the presidential election Sunday, by a decisive 44 percent over his far-left rival, Ivan Cepeda who drew a mere 40 percent, much of it from the west of the country where FARC Marxist narcoterrorists threaten residents to vote for FARC-friendly Cepeda, or else face retaliation.

The remaining candidates came from mostly center-right parties and most are expected to transfer their votes to Abelardo in round two on June 21, which could make the margin very big indeed. Betting markets say that Abelardo has an 80% chance of getting elected president.

The voting went off without a hitch and results came in two hours after polls closed in the nation of 58 million people, an electoral system that clearly has its act together.

Petro was apparently so shocked by the result he cried 'fraud,' which is nonsense, in a classic case of leftists accusing others of doing what they themselves are doing. There were a few reports of irregularities during the polling, and in every instance, they would have benefited the ruling leftist party, which by the way, counted the votes. I can't even see how Abelardo could even try to commit fraud, given who runs the electoral apparatus.

Thank heavens. Colombia is too nice of a country to be screwed up by leftists.

I think all the leftists in South America illegally came to the USA thanks to Biden. If I had the means I’d move to Argentina. More conservative than the Oregon s hole I’m living in now.
