The family of murdered student, Henry Nowak, said they will carry their grief "every single day" for the rest of their lives and have called on the government to treat knife crime as a "national emergency".
It comes after Vickrum Digwa, 23, was sentenced to life in prison, for a minimum of 21 years, for using a 21cm (8in) blade he said he carried as part of his Sikh faith to stab the 18-year-old in Southampton in December.
Digwa had lied to police about being the victim of a racist attack and officers arrested and handcuffed Nowak as he lay dying on the ground.
The student's family called his treatment by police "inhumane and degrading". Hampshire police has apologised.
Judge William Mousley KC told Southampton Crown Court he was sure that Nowak had not said anything racist to the Sikh man who killed him.
Before sentencing Digwa, he told him his actions had "stirred up racial tension in Southampton and across the country which has made many Sikhs worried about their safety".

I saw the interview with the parents. They said that they wanted the government to declare a “knife” emergency in Britain. I think that their coded message was that immigrant crime is out of control. I don’t think that they were asking for knife control.

I didn’t think I could be any more outraged by this story. This family’s son was murdered not just by a terror-minded fanatic, but by the very police whose job it is to protect and serve. But now, apparently, the family has decided that the only way they can get any justice is to become NPC drones spouting the party line of the totalitarians. Calling on the government to control the national emergency of KNIFE crime? Did Monty Python not perfectly enunciate the madness of trying to take weapons away from people as the means of controlling crime? (”Sharp, pointy sticks”) Archie Bunker? (”Would you rather they was pushed out of winderrs?”)
The problem here is that the cops have been very thoroughly trained to suspend their own common sense (as dangerous bigotry) and instead see everything through the lens of British must be evil, imports must be angelic.
Don’t get me started on the insanity of charging Black police officer J Alexander Keung with aiding and abetting manslaughter for his role in the killing of George Floyd. Some of you are probably already mad I called it a “killing.” But here’s the thing: Chauvin continued kneeling on Floyd after his body went lifeless. Everything up until that point, I’m 100% behind what Chauvin did. But when Floyd went limp and Chauvin didn’t re-evaluate what he was doing, he crossed the line. Murder? Probably not; given the situation, I find it difficult to judge his ability to process all of his inputs, and more difficult to find he started off with the intent to see Floyd dead.
But what these limeys did was the same wrongdoing but in comparably cold blood.
It’s a very troubling case
I will not make a bold prediction but there is definitely support for hanging to be brought back, particularly in murder cases or for child killers.

Britain is the reason why we will fight for the SECOND AMENDMENT. A gun is better than a knife!!
