~The FReeper Canteen Presents~ Road Trip: USCG Training Center Cape May, New Jersey
United States Coast Guard Training Center Cape May (TRACENCM) is the home of the Coast Guard enlisted corps and is the Coast Guard's only enlisted accession point and recruit training center, located in Cape May, New Jersey.

Training Center Cape May is the 5th largest base in the Coast Guard and the sole accession point for the entire enlisted workforce. This is why the training center is considered the birthplace of the enlisted corps and Cape May County, the Coast Guard’s Hometown.
Training Center Cape May’s mission is to transform the recruits of today into the Coast Guardsmen of tomorrow while providing superior mission support to tenant commands.
Training Center Cape May is host to five resident training programs including: Recruit Training, Direct Entry Petty Officer Training, Company Commander School, Recruiter School and Recruiter-in-Charge School. Recruit training is a 53-day program designed to transform America’s civilian volunteers into military members of the United States Coast Guard.
Direct Entry Petty Officer Training is a specialized three-week training program created to produce Petty Officers who, on the basis of their civilian professions and/or prior military experience, will graduate as highly motivated and basically trained Coast Guard men and women.

Great here, thank you! We are roasting this week, but I’m enjoying my quiet and short days at work.
Hope you have a pleasant week!
To: radu
Howdy radu!
We are in record high temp territory here right now, so just laying low for now.
Have a terrific Tuesday!
*HUGS*
To: laurenmarlowe
Dang, you’re baking again too? Definitely lay-low with the AC weather.
We’re lucky enough to miss out on it. Low to mid 80s for us and lower humidity, which is a real plus. We need to dry out for a bit. EVERYONE here will be mowing this week and does it ever need to be done!

Yeah, I’m better on schedule this evening. The day didn’t start well, but all is good now. It’s like I get jet lag simply from a long-ish drive. Sheesh!
How was your day? Is the grass knee-high yet?

I can remember being on the Wildwood boardwalk and some Coastie newbie on his first leave asked me where he could go to meet girls.

I think your jet lag came up here. LOL I’ve had almost no energy today, even though I got a good day’s sleep. They come along every once in a while.
Woke up to rain this afternoon but that was the end of it for a week. YAY!!!!!!! Sunny and supposed to be windy tomorrow and that’ll dry things quite a bit. Wednesday, Champ and I go to work on this place. It’s really shaggy, but so is everything else around the area.
