When Cali redistricted, they lessened blue strength to take more red districts, but with Pratt and Hilton, there’s a lot more Republican interest so there’s a chance Dems could lose a lot of seats in Cali.
I haven’t looked at the breakdown in the full Cook Report, but if anyone has checked, where are the tossups? If they’re in Cali, the close ones will go through the “vote curing” process for a month or so after Election Day, and we know where that ends.
The tossups are in the OP...twice.
Can you see well?
Hey ... I was just observing FR tradition and not reading the linked story.
I’m hoping the supreme court puts an end to that crap.
I wouldn’t worry much about tossups in California either, given today’s court ruling for Trump.
Too damn close.
Been visiting Humboldt County a bit too often, I see.
**with Pratt and Hilton, there’s a lot more Republican interest **
I like that. Calif. is now run by 3rd worlders. Victories by those 2 white guys will show that colonialism was superior.
I love a good traditionalist
Well we mustn’t count our chickens but a lot of illegals have been deported and some voting rules have been tightened we had a what one million judicial watch voter purge?
With a proper ruling from the supremes in re one month of vote counting I think the “uncalled” will go our way. Certainly better than usual sane voter turnout in LA with Pratt, too. Major factor.
Not sure what comparing to 2018 matters other than both Trump mid-term.
Three things have happened since then to make comparisons almost completely worthless
1) Covid - changed a lot of things, none for the better. Politically, further eroded any remaining trust in govt
2) 2020 election - Dems cheated so hard the most forgiving / naive Republican believes they cheat
3) Musk saved twitter
>Been visiting Humboldt County a bit too often, I see.
Nah, it’s just that Cali is what Cali is. GOP there has been depressed since the 1990s and Dems have run roughshod over the state. Now people like Pratt and Hilton are calling out the obvious problems the Dems have created and people are paying attention.
It’s pretty clear from GOP mail-ins being almost near Dem levels that things are a lot closer than Dems think.
It’s what we do! 😂👍
I bet on GOP winning the House on Kalshi. It’s a good payout.
From Wikipedia:
“Amy Elizabeth Walter (born October 19, 1969)[1] is an American political analyst who is the publisher and editor-in-chief of The Cook Political Report with Amy Walter.[2] Since 2015, she has also served as a political analyst for the PBS News Hour. Walter specializes in forecasting and analyzing national U.S. elections.”
I don’t really think the wild ass Liberals over at PBS wanted her on to proclaim objectivity.
According to Grok, before the redistricting, the Republicans had 188 safe seats to the Democrats’ 183
With redistricting, by my count, the Republicans have +16 safe seats. That puts their “Safe Seat” total to 204. All 16 of those seats came from Democratic “Safe Seats,” lowering the number of Democratic safe seats to 167.
204+167=371.
435-371= 64.
That means the Democrats would need to take 51 of 64 swing seats to achieve a 218 majority, assuming no safe seats flip.
The Republicans only need to gain 14 of 64.
Executive Order 14,399 requires states to verify citizenship for federal elections and secures mail-in ballots with strict laws.
Agencies MUST create a state citizenship list and requires the Postal Service to propose rules for tracked ballots by late May.
Why wouldn't Democrats want people to be verified and secure mail-in ballots? Because the only way they win is by committing FRAUD.
This is a HUGE WIN, Let's GO!!!
Good post.
Thanks.
